    What site would you compare Google+ to?

    I would compare Google+ to LinkedIn, rather than Facebook as it has a more professional environment than Facebook, which is focused more on socializing and friendships. In many ways, LinkedIn is the same way, in how they focus on marketing and business or niche themes.

    You are right that google+ is more on the professional side. I liken it as the professional version of Facebook. However, that professional touch seems to be the downside of Google+ because new users are turned off. With Facebook, it is a universal network that is available to everyone, young and old, formal or informal. So maybe the proper comparison is Google+ and LinkedIn. By the way, I have been receiving invites to LinkedIn but I always ignore.
