    Is Facebook still the #1 social networking site?

    Is Facebook still considered the #1 social networking site? Or, would Twitter/Pinterest or Google+ be in that spot now?

    Hello,

    I think Facebook is still the #1 social networking site. One way to find out:

    1. Check to see if a social network uses facebook login - if it does, than that means they are trying to push facebook users to their website by using that 'easy' login integration.

    I'm keeping my eye on Twitter, and Tumblr. Google+ in my opinion isn't that great, I rarely ever use it. However, anyone that has a Gmail automatically gets a Google+ profile.. Pinterest is in another category.. I'm not sure what is the future plans of Pinterest.. it's a bit weird.

    Twitter is actually losing visitors now (down like 10+ million per day). Facebook is still going strong and #1 in Alexa.

    When you compare number of visitors facebook attract everyday, it is far higher than any other social networking site. So, if you are talking in terms of traffic, then yes FB is No.1.

    In one topic, I had posted that Facebook recently reportedthat they have 2 billion users already. So far, it is the largest social network which is followed by Twitter but a far second. Even in our circle, you will notice that most have a Facebook account. That is the reason why we should focus on Facebook when it comes to promoting a business because that is the most potent social network for now.

    Certainly, Facebook is still the most popular, king and the most frequent social media platform.But truth be told, I don't anyone has ever gotten an account with any other social site that does not have an account on Facebook, is like Facebook is always the launch pad for anybody that wants to start interacting online.So yes Facebook is number one online.

    facebook is still number one social networking site. It has more than 2 billion accounts (tje world population is 7 billion). facebook is good for personal networking (connecting with friends and families) as well as professional networking (connecting with clients, customers, associates etc.). You can manage your professional networking and personal networking with the same account. You can create groups and pages. You can make voice calls as well as video calls. There is no other social networking site like facebook.

    The convenience of Facebook to the users is the facility of Facebook page and groups. When you create a group, it is like having your own network with a given niche. I have seen so many groups with thousands of members. In fact, I am a member of some groups that are so active with hundreds of posts in a day. The Facebook page is being utilized for individual purposes. Maybe having a business is good if you have a Facebook Page for that.

    When facebook was launched there were already social media sites. New social sites are being launched every now and them, still facebook continues to have a strong position. Why is that so? Because facebook has it all, you can use it for personal connection, professional connection, and business promotion. You can even use facebook to sell physical and digital items.

    It's almost 2019 and Facebook remains number 1 with almost half of the planet using it. It's like what Google is to search engines. I think Facebook is gobbling up everything being an All in One Platform.
