    Should I need to promote my content?

    Is content promotion needed in modern SEO? If I use my content to promote it on the social media sites then it can be crawled as copied content on my website. What is the right way of content promotion?

    Use different content. SEO won't help if you use duplicated content for incoming links. Social media is based on copied content - ideally it will bring content, but it won't help SEO directly.

    Social media works to get you direct traffic but doesn't benefit your position in search engines very much. Though there is an option for author credibility with Google+, who is to say whether or not that helps SEO or just helps your readers find more of the works you have published.

    Yes content promotion is necessary. A piece of content should produce 20+ snippets that you can share on social media. A snippet can be any of the following:
    Variations of the title
    Short statements from the content
    Short quotes from the content
    Statistics from the content

    If you have posted the content after keyword research and you share that in social media the only dedicated and real traffic will come to your website and you bounce rate will decrease and people will spend more time on ur website.this is a good thing for ranking point of view and helps the website to rank.these days ranking is not only about doing onsite see and creating back links. It's much more than that.so yea sharing your content is good. It will not be duplicate. World best internet marketer also promote their content on social media and make it viral.so you can do it.

    Content is king. It is not the quantity of content that matters but the quality. If you do SEO, you will have to share your content on various social media, but don't use duplicate content. You do share your content in Twiiter, linkedin, Facebook,
    Pinterest, etc. depending on your targeted customers how often they visit on that site.

    So all the best for Content sharing and SEO also.

    Content promotion matters because SEO is a terrible tactic for brand building. SEO allows you to target people who know what they’re looking for but aren't sure where to get it. This is important for exposure, but does nothing to build your brand.

    If you want to get traffic, one way is to promote the contents of your website. For instance if you have a blog, whenever you would upload a new blog, you can promote it to social media, to forums that allow promotions and also to other blogs by way of comments. Of course, you have to be creative in your marketing technique so you wouldn’t be tagged as a spammer.
