SEO for your site ! In part - 1,
https://www.seoclerks.com/forum/th...ord-part-1.2676/, I shared a way to determine value of a keyword. In this part, end of
duology, I'll share customized way to choose high paid keyword. You can manipulate and use it as per your requirement. Also, note that the procedure which I'm going to discuss is not as accurate as procedure which I shared in part - 1 of this series. So,
choose a method based on your requirement.

Before discussing customized way to discover keyword value, let me list down
pros & cons of this method over standard way.
- Pros:
- Free : It is free ! You don't have to invest, even a penny, when you are using this trick to find keyword value.
- Familiarity : In this method, we use familiar tools like google analytics, MS excel or google spreadsheet, etc. to choose a keyword over another.
- Cons:
- Semi - Automatic : Finding a relatively high paid keyword is not completely automatic. I mean it doesn't involve simple mathematical calculations to find a high value keyword.
- Tedious : Here we will deal with more than one tool, so managing and switching among different tools can confuse you.
To start implementing customize way, you need google analytics, rank checking tool (rank checker plugin, for firefox), wordtracker and google spreadsheet or MS excel. Without further delay let me start sharing the procedure to determine keyword value,
- High Traffic keywords : Gather list of at least 500 keyword which brought highest amount of traffic to your site over past few months. You can gather this data from google analytics.
- Make a List unique keywords : Import all the keywords in a excel sheet. Remove duplicates, if any, from excel sheet. You can use manual way or some filterto do it.

- Give a score : Give a score to every keyword on a scale of 10, 10 being highest. You have to give score based on ranking of your site on a search engine for that particular keyword. For example, if my site is ranked in range 1-10 for a keyword then I'll give it a score of 10, if my site is ranked between 11-20 then I'll give it a score of 9.5, and so on. I've used histogram/bucket technique, but you can use any techniqueto give assign a score to a keyword.

- Export & Merger result from Rank Checker : Rank checker has limitation of exploring 100 keywords at once. So, grab first 100 keywords and put it in rank checker plugin. Export the result into some excel/csv file. Repeat this procedure until you finish exporting results of all keywords from rank checker. Merge them into one file.

- Find number of Searches : Import all the keywords you got from google analytic into wordtracker tool or any tool which gives number of searches done across the globe and export the result into another excel sheet. The result will have number of searches for a keywordon google.

- VLookup : Do a vLookup (more info about vLookup @ http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/...52093351033.aspx) in excel sheet which has result from wordtracker for a keyword one after the other
- Keyword Value : Once you have result from wordtracker, multiply that number with the score (step 3) you gave to that keyword. The result of this multiplication is your keyword value!!

What do you have to say about this method ? Let me know your views through your post. Note that, the keyword value which you obtain is not absolute keyword value. The value signifies which keyword will yield more profit. If the keyword value is higher and you use it often then it will maximize your profit. Make sure you don't overuse a keyword which has high value, otherwise it might be considered as keyword stuffing by search engines. So, use the tricks I shared through this tutorial optimally by using your brain !
