    Are link farms or link directories still a viable option for backlinking?

    Do you ever use link farms or link directories for backlinking? Looking for some link directories that are not spammy. If so, which ones work for you and don't result in any kind of penalty?

    Google really does hates link farms and their algorithms consider the links they generate as spam. Some sites get removed from the Google index.I never recommend Link Farms.This is ancient type of backlinking.And for link directories ,having your links in directories is a good thing, but u have to post in high pr ,authority directories.The highest quality, manual is best.

    Quality directories are still useful, try to use only niche directories, if you are doing directory submission then make sure that you are using fresh description.
