Eventually. History repeats itself and someone will come along with a new and better idea.

You may be right because no one can predict the future and it is easy to say that Google can be beaten or Google cannot be beaten. But I think it will be a long time before someone can get another gift from the heavens of a great idea to change the landscape of the search engine industry because as it looks now the search engines are at their peak just like hitting the speed of light which is the maximum speed already.

Well, I do wonder who. Could it be an existing brand, or a new brand that will pave its way on the future.

I'd bet a new brand like google with a new way to search that is more accurate.

Google isn't accurate enough for you? If it isn't, I wonder how accurate it can possibly be.

Google dethroned Yahoo and learned from their mistakes. Seriously doubt they will give up their throne as leading search engine very easily or anytime soon. Though niche search engines might be favored more by some users, for specific reasons. Globally speaking, Google has a good chance of lasting well into the next generation of users and beyond. Though there's a chance, it will evolve into something we can't forsee. It will still be Google, just enhanced.

Google has so much money they can afford to evolve as many times as they need to stay competitive.

I wonder if they could be a time where all people suddenly lose trust on Google and stopped using it.
Or maybe the thing that happened to Yahoo when Google overtook them.

As of now I don't see any real competitors to Google. In mobile market also Google is dominating with android.

There was a search engine which could beat Google but project was unexpectedly shut down.
Cuil was managed and developed largely by former employees of Google, Anna Patterson and Russell Power.
Here is history: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cuil

If you mean overtake in terms of the search engine, I don’t think there is a serious challenge yet from other search engines. Google is still the number 1 and I think that it will remain to be in that position for at least 5 years until maybe another search engine innovates with a new strategy. With the company, I believe that Google is the biggest and strongest company to deal with. It is diversifying so maybe we will see Google as dominating the internet totally.

Never say never, nothing last forever because the same way Google sat down to learn about it predecessors to overthrown them is the same way some people or a person is still understudying it to kick it down.I know of some brands that were the almighty in my teens but there have been well overtaken by new brands. So we can't be too sure of Google lasting to the next generation though it may seem so now.
