Click spam and unsubscribe to an email newsletter

Now, when you mark an email as spam it also asks you if you want to unsubscribe from the newsletter.

Most times, since I've marked the email as spam, I will tick that option. Though sometimes, I just want to not clutter the main inbox with those emails and will send some emails to the spam box, which I check occasionally (as it will contain promotional email flyers from favorite sites). Since these email notifications come in daily, they clutter up my inbox, so the spam box is a better place for them to be.

I like this new option to unsubscribe from emails as I'm marking them spam as it gives me more control over the contents of my inbox.

From the point of view of the person receiving the email, this could be a good feature. However, from the point of view of the email sender, it is a bad thing as the spam complaint will likely be sent to their autoresponder service or host company. Clicking that spam button brands that person as a spammer.

Maybe you could take a minute to click through on the unsubscribe link on the bottom of the email to unsubscribe. Otherwise, the person sending the email is reported to their host as a spammer.
