    How long do you look at advertisements on a site?

    Advertisers put so much time and money into ads, but does it pay off? How much time are you really putting into looking at the banner and link ads online?

    I don't really pay attention to Adsense ads anymore but sometimes a flashing banner ad will make me look twice. That doesn't mean I'm going to click on it.

    I read reviews a lot before buying as it gives me insight that I might not have otherwise. But I don't spend any time looking at banner ads or links.

    I like to use the ad blocking software so that i'm not annoyed by the ads. These ads are supposed to monetize the site, but sometimes they just annoy me.

    Personally, I don't think that ads are all that helpful. If I see an advertisement, 9 times out of 10 I ignore them and pay no attention to them. So I feel that there are just many people like myself that do the same and then advertisers are just losing more and more money.

    Maybe I'm different than everyone else on this, but I'll actually read ads, especially if they contain lots of text. If the text is boring, then I skip the ad. This is true for banner ads especially. I want to find new and better products to enrich my ads and many times will find them through an advertisement, whether online or on television.

    There's no real reason to ignore ads if they say something you want to hear. The advertisements are there for your benefit just as much as the actual content of the site.

    It is depend on the design of the ads (colors, text, font size.....). If it well design, so it grab my attention.
    And if it about any topic that i interested on, so i read it carefully to see if i can get any benefit from it.

    However if i read reviews before buying anything.......what make me read these reviews or pay attention to the product?????
    it is the ads ;)

    There is also another benefit from reading ads, that you can learn from them and get a new ideas to apply on your ads in order to improve their results.

    well my veiwers on my web must be stupid as I earn $300 - $500 a month - LOL!
    also sometimes to just place an ad on your web you will get paid like I get paid $780 a Year to put a simple ad from a certain website.

    Reading ads is not that back esp if it is what you are looking for. adverts do pay off if its placed in sites with high visitors traffic and of high page rank. but your advert must be somehow related to the niche of the website to which your ad is posted to.

    To be honest, I don't pay attention to Ads..they just annoy me so much, especially the Pop-up ads.
