There are so many search engines out there. How many of them did you submit your site to. I have read that only google, Bing and Ask.com are the important ones. Do you agree with this?
I submit to all of them mostly. I'll submit my site to Google first of course, but later on down the line, a few months later or something once my site is well indexed in Google and Bing/Yahoo etc and has a lot of great content on it, I might submit it to other search engines as well. This is because I've done this in the past and I've started noticing (for some sites) that I started getting traffic from other search engines as well as Google, Bing etc. Some of them are not so known about search engines and not send a huge amount at first but over time it can add up to a lot and this has made doing it very worth while doing.

In my opinion, submit your site to as many search engines as you can. you can use other search engines like AltaVista, Excite, live yahoo, LookSmart.
I personally don't do it. Google, bing and yahoo is pretty much all you need when it comes to search engines and if you get indexed in them you will eventually get indexed in all search engines. Regardless if you submit your website or not.
in 20 search engines , but if you have your site submitted in google you don't need the rest
The one and only search engine that I've submitted to is Google, I don't think the rest are good..I just like the quality of and also because many people prefer and use Google than the other search engines.
This reminds me that I used to use Ask dot com because it looked good especially with the design of its search homepage. Even when Google came around and was bragging that it was the fastest gun not only in the west but in the whole of internet, I remained using Ask dot com. But sooner than later I was tempted to shift to Google when I found out that it could give me more relevant links.
