The only kind of advertising that I use for my services is forum marketing.

And, that's how I generate traffic to my services.

In the past, I use all kinds of advertising methods to generate traffic to my blogs and sites. This is just what's working for me now with SEOClerks.

You have to truly become invested in the community where you are posting and get involved in what others are talking about.

If your goal is to leave a spam link, then that's going to show through very quickly. And people will shut you out as fast.

Your first priority needs to be to establish yourself as a trusted member of the forum. And, there is no 'easy' way to do that, except by actually caring about the well being of the other members. Forum marketing is all about relationship building.

When you become accepted as a part of that forum community, others will turn to you for advice, ask your opinion. And, of course they will think of you when they need your type of services. You will be the 'go to guy' for that specific service.

If the forum is similar to your site then posting there is more likely to help in terms of advertising. Otherwise you won't really get any notice of your signature line.

Forum marketing might be the most under utilized traffic generation strategy.....Industry forums are a watering hole of potential leads and customers.....
However, simply creating a signature and leaving generic posts isn’t going to get you a tidal wave of traffic....

Yes it is very good one for generating targeted traffic to your site. And you know targeted traffic converts much better compared to regular traffic. You will always find forums in your niche.

I think it all about posting interesting,helpful and valuable contents. A site that focus on more of user's benefits stands a better chance of being used more by people and this automatically means more traffic

There was a time where I only used forum marketing for traffic and it worked quite well for me. Nowadays there aren't as many forums as there used to be. Find forums, groups, communities in your niche and build your presence there. You can use an ad tracker link in your signature line to see which sites give you more traffic.

I noticed that if I put in my blog link in the signature or in my profile introduction, it could drive traffic to my blog faster than social media sites. Just input insightful comments in the forum sites, provide helpful advises or encouragements, people who like you, would click your links and that is where your money comes in naturally

In my experience, forums are good platform to generate traffic. You can have your website link on your profile as well as set your website link as a signature. Some forums also provide a sub forum where they allow users to promote their site. Sharing links on forums serve as backlinks. Backlinks are good for traffic generation as well as getting high SEPR.
IN order to gain massive traffic from forum, you need to actively post comments on forums and your comments should always be insightful.

I think forums can be definitely good for the traffic generation. You can see that adding the signature can bring some good traffic to your website. And people can bring some good leads on the way. I think some of the forums can be good for the traffic. But make sure that you are adding the traffic to the page with some tag or something. In order to identify that traffic is coming to your website this way. That way you can understand how the traffic is working out. I have tried this for social media as well.

With my experience, I can say that advertising in forums is one good way in getting traffic to your website. I have learned of other websites thru forums and that has been my habit ever since. Promotions posted in forums give an impression that the site is legit and not a scam. Moreover, it is an advantage if the promotional thread gets a positive comment from a user. However, not all forums allow free advertisements, you have to pay for your promotional posts.
