Is it easier to write if you love the subject?

When I'm writing about one of my hobbies or interests, I've seen how the writing is a lot easier and it doesn't seem like a chore. But, if I have to write for a client on a subject that does not interest me, then the project takes hours longer than I want.

It helps to have a love of learning if you are a writer. As part of my job as a writer, I have to write about all kinds of things from Japanese history to bionic implants. So I'm always reading a lot about various subjects, not just basic info but indepth coverage. Just immerse yourself in the topic until you really love it, that's all I can suggest as it works for me.

This would be true for anything really. The more you like something, the easier it will be to stick with and complete on time. If you don't like what you are writing about, then do some more reading on the subject to find an aspect that interests you.

Yes I do feel that it is easier if you love the subject at hand. I have written car articles before and hated it because I am not really a car person.

It most certainly does help, as it allows you to get more in depth of the topic naturally, rather than feeling you have to research it subject. When you enjoy and take interest in the topic, you want to research things more in depth because you want to learn more. You absorb it better, and truly relish in the opportunity.

If you get on a topic that you may view as boring, you aren't going to have that same passion within you to really give it that flare it needs, whereas if it's about something you enjoy or love, you will have that fiery determination to learn everything you possibly can about it, and love it all the way through, keeping your interest peeked until the end.

I have found that it helps if you enjoy telling other people about something. I definitely learn when I post blogs from clients like this Alberta Realtor, but I enjoy the challenge of making the subject understandable to others. This is something that I had to learn.

This past few months, I've written articles for clients on a variety of subjects and some were very easy to write as I loved the subject while others really hard to do as they required so much research. It's hard going in which articles are going to be this way. Maybe the lesson for me to take away from this would be to just charge more for articles especially since they are taking longer with more research.

It is always much easier to write about a subject that I love. If I do not know a lot about the subject, then I just have to do more research.

You might spend longer writing on the topic if it's something that interests rather than bores you. Or, you might do a better job of writing that article.

Indeed it is much easier if I could write a blog about something that I am passionate about. I have 2 blogs on recipes which I have tons of recipes to upload and share online. Initially, it was just a hobby, now these blogs became my side income for earning money.

Yes, it is easier to write if you love the subject. When you are writing on the subject, you will sound authentic. Medicine is not my niche, however, I can write a medical article based on my research. However, this article will never be better than my article on alternative healing, which is my niche. You should always write on the subject that you know thoroughly. You may try writing on the subject that you don't know, however, it is very likely that this article will fail.

Writing oo subjects you like is easier for writers for you must have had some knowledge on that particular subject, so it is just as pouring out what the writer already knows. Such writing can be likened to saying about someone eating his favourite meal, you would notice that the person would eat it without a struggle.

I agree with you, it is easier to pour out your heart and soul into your favorite topic in the article , write as a pro, a breeze without cracking your head. I could write 500 words in a short time

Oh yes, you can say that again. Writing about something that you love will definitely be an enjoyable work and the quality is much better than your other writings of a different subject. That’s why passion is important. I started writing articles when I was invited to write blogs about my dogs. That’s great because the subject matter is my passion so I’m sure to have the motivation to produce quality output. And I did.
