What tools do you use to find hot trends to write about?

I would love to know what resources you are using now to find hot trends in your niche to write about. I've been reading other niche blogs to find popular topics, but don't just want to follow the trends, I want to lead them.

Keyword planner and Google trends are useful for identifying hot niche topics you could write about.

Normally, I don't write on hot trends. I look for evergreen topics and develop contents on ever gree topics. When you are writing on trending topic, you might gain traffic for the time being, however, in the long run, you won't be earning a good traffic. Having said that, sometimes I check on trending keywords and try to implement those keywords on my articles on that niche. I use Google kewword planner tool
