Most expensive freelancer expense so far?

My last freelance client wanted transcription related duties, so I had to purchase a professional transcription software that cost $20. This is not such a huge price, but it's the most money I have spent for freelance related duties.

What is the most expensive piece of equipment or item you have purchase so far related to your job?

My computer is always my biggest expense, if you don't count broadband fees.

Then again, everyone in my house uses internet (even if just for Netflix). So it kind of evens out.

I've replaced my computer numerous times over the past ten plus years of working from home.

It's a very good tool, but extremely expensive.

My wireless devices for internet are the biggest expense , I cannot afford to go off from internet because in business and for seoclerks I have to be online almost 24 hous a day .
Here in my country we cannot rely on one internet service so I have like 4 internet connections 2 are portable cloud devices so I keep them with me when I am in car or travel with my laptop or tablet .

Now the biggest expense is yet to come I am going for a mac book now because I am tired using windows . It crash a lot and I have lost a massive amount of valuable data in past years so I have to get something where my data will be much more safer

Doing seo requires lots of tools , my monthly cost is around $200 to keep them running and provide services here.

Everyone says computer or internet as being most expensive but for me, my house is the most expensive investment.

After all, I work at home, so that is a business expense, at least the area that I use for my home office.

I believe my greatest expenses for my freelancing journey is buying my powerful laptop, buying the monthly subscription for my data at 30 dollars monthly and spending over a 100 dollars on fuel to power my generator because of my location that we barely have light up to 8 hours daily.

Except for the tablet that I bought last year, the only other expenses that I can think of are minor ones like a USB stick that is pretty cheap. My freelancing is part time only and I am doing content providing for forums only so there is not much relation to expenses except the time and the food that I eat when I do extra work.
