    I'm guessing you mean link blaster software. And, no I don't use any of that. Any links I have built in the past were done manually. And, it's very time consuming to get links that way.

    You don't really need to use SEO software to build links. But, there could be other types of SEO software that are relevant such as those which analyze a competitor's site and identify keywords you could be using.

    Without any software? No. Software is necessary for analyzing, scraping... I also use software for building links because there is no difference if you post an article on a site with software or "manually".

    No, you don't have to use the software.
    It takes a lot more effort and time to get your SEO just right doing it manually so you can rank for your keywords, but it can be done.

    On my mature blog I haven't used software of any kind, or bought traffic EVER. I place my link in forums whenever possible, making articles/stories about experiences, etc in different communities. I always SEO my blog posts so they rank well in search engines. Your hard work pays off eventually. I've had the blog not even a year yet (it will be a year in May), and I've made a hair under $5000.00 so far.

    I find that Google tends to penalize sites which seem to have unnaturally formulated SEO, such as what happened with many Worpress sites that were using the popular "AllInOne" plugin.

    My opinion is you can succeed without software.

    You don't need software to write a high quality article but you will need lots of time spent on Google researching and writing if you want to make this strategy pay off.

    SEO is something that is done manually. For example, you develop high quality, original and unique content on your website, which you do it manually. If you use automated software to write articles (article spinner for example), it will be considered black har seo, which is not good for your site. You add keywords, keyphrase or long tail search term on your content, which you do it manually. You may need software to analyze SEO, however, you don't need software to do SEO.

    I think SEO software is not important when you are just an ordinary individual with a personal website. The advice that I had read in some discussions is the originality of the contents and the manual spreading of backlinks that you cannot be accused of spamming. Perhaps SEO methods should not be cheated so that your website will remain in good health and far from being suspended by search engines.
