    When you blog about the wrong thing

    What if you blogged about the wrong thing, such as on the job issues and the wrong person read your blog post? Has this ever happened to you? Maybe you blogged about some upcoming product release and your employer's competition was able to release a better product sooner. Or, you blogged personal issues online.

    This is a common situation online, especially at forums and Facebook, more so than personal blogs. Many people feel compelled to create confessionals online when they should be holding private information to themselves.

    I have never been faced with this because I think through so well before publishing any topic and moreover,my niche is not the controversial type that would need me pulling my head.I write more on hows and dos.

    Some people I have seen do blog about the wrong things. I would love to be able to say that we are all talented in this, but there are some that really need to have a different niche.

    Well, I have done some guest blogging about things that ended up not favouring me and all I did was move on. The major reason we should move on from those things is it is not our fault that such thing happened in the first place.

    Fortunately this is something that never happened to me. I always research the topic well before writing about it. Writing about stuffs considered to be confidential can have drastic consequences.

    I am very careful when writing about a person or a company in my blog. Always remember that you can be sued or can face a legal entanglement when a controversy arises by just the mention of a name or a company. When I wrote a blog about puppy mills, I took pictures of some vendors who were selling puppies in the street. Although I posted their pictures, I did not name them so it will appear to be an innocent photo. But in truth, those vendors are selling puppies which is illegal.
