    Do you have an 'About Me' page for your blog?

    With an 'About Me', you can share details about your history, such as how long you've been blogging; other interests; links to favorite blogs, etc.

    Do you have an About Me page for your blog? If so, why do you use and what information do you provide on this page?

    If I had a blog then yes I would have an about me page. I would give out my first name, hobbies, and only some other info so the people on my blog did not really know that much about me.

    If too much is offered, people can find out way to much about you. I do not like that at all.

    I was not having an about page and I added it before one week for the purpose of "google authorship".

    When I was writing as a guest blogger, the guy that owns it got an 'About Me' on the blog and that is a great way to know the person behind the blog you're visiting. However, I felt no need in doing such on my blog for I prefer to connect with my visitors via the contents I write on a daily basis.

    It is true that the best way to deliver the message is through your work and not about you. However, a short introduction actually adds value to your content. Even if it is your personal blog or website, you need about me section, This will help the visitors know the person behind the blog. It will add credibility to your work and website.

    In order to believe the article I just read, I need to know who the writer is. How well you communicate through your article is very important, however, who you are is also important. I publish an article on farming and I tell the readers that I am a farmer, the reader will believe me more. Therefore, it is very important to have About Me page. I have about me page on my blogs.

    I have added an about me page recently but I haven't talked about myself yet. I had previously linked my site to google plus since the information about me was fully displayed on google plus. Things like education, location, contact information, places I have visited and what I liked was what viewers could find when they clicked the link to my google plus profile. Bit since I have unlinked the two accounts, I will have to write something nice about myself on the about me page.
