Where do you get your best ideas for blogging?

My best ideas for blogging come from news stories in my own niche, also topical general interest articles about the niche. Where do you get your best ideas for blog posts?

In my head. I think all the time and when I have an idea it goes into a notebook until I can write about it.

I should carry a notebook with me for this. But I always forget. I will think of an idea and then I will be like ok I will remember it, but then half the time I never do.

Well right now you should just put a notebook in your purse and one in your car and keep one by your computer. Then you will have them for when you need them

I like the idea of a notebook as well. Lately I have been trying to come up with some ideas for a site that I would like to make. I have tons of post it notes all over my computer.

I get ideas while doing keyword research. When I see keywords that get good hits but there are no good contents around that keywords, I get interested in developing content aroud that keyword. This is how I get idea for my next blog. I also get idea for my next blog by analyzing the traffic to my posts. When I see a content on a certain topic pulling a lot of traffic, I develop another content on that topic. For example, I have an article "how to grow your hair long, thick and strong." It gets good traffic. I supplemented this article with another article titled "natural remedies for hair growth." Now both articles are getting traffic.

Our blog is about pets and I was co-writing that blog to give our pets media exposure. Some of my articles there were those published in the pet magazine. For the ideas, they were usually based on my observation. Like the puppy mill article, I have noticed the puppies for sale in the streets of Baguio City. That is a tourist spot. There were so many vendors of puppies so it is very obvious that puppies there are for business. Another article is about stray dogs which are a lot here in our village. As one writer says, get ideas with what you see.

I started this particular blog only because I always had an interest in this topic. To be honest I read a lot about this niche my blog is based on. Most of the times I get ideas about what to write from whatever I read or watch. Sometimes I get ideas from the comments left by others on my blog. It also happened that people visiting my blog requested me to write about a particular topic.
