    List of thread topics I want started

    On my forum, I keep a list of discussions that I would like started by members and forum staff. I have this list pinned on every subforum. And, if someone needs inspiration for a topic, they can always go there and as the discussions are started, that item is crossed off the list. Sometimes, forum members get stuck for ideas and this is just a nice way to prompt them.

    This is a nice idea Ashlyn. I have never seen a site before do this but it does make sense.

    This would be a nice way to get new content for your site from contributors. I think more forum members would start new discussions if you did something like this.

    That list of topics is great for giving the members the idea of what to write. We all know that it is easier to reply to a discussion than creating a new thread. The existing discussion is already pregnant with ideas so a reply is not that difficult. But with a new thread, you have to dig deep into your arsenal for the proper topic. But with that list of topics courtesy of the admin, I don’t think there will be a reason not to create a new thread. And if I don’t know much of the topic then I can do a search.
