    How many posts do you expect from your moderators daily?

    Is there a specific post count you want to see from moderators daily? And, how do you enforce a post count?

    You can't mandate how many posts a mod should make as their job is voluntary. Though you need to encourage each moderator to make at least a few posts to show their presence to other forum members daily and prove they have visited the forum for the day. Otherwise, you could consider them to be inactive.

    I would just ask them to make a few posts a day to ensure that the site is always active. I would not say that they have to have a set number.

    That sounds fair. As Justin suggested, just a few posts per mod daily lets you know they took time to visit the forum. This might only be a big deal, especially if there is lots of spam on the site. Some sites seem to get more heavily spammed than others. Though a watchful admin/mod staff will always be there to clean up spam as it happens.

    I agree there is not a set number. Just depends on what you will have your mods do. If they have to fix things on the forum then that takes away their time from posting.

    I feel it is different for every forum and for the day. Some days there may be lots of time to post and other days there may be more time doing maintenance and such.

    No, setting fixed posts is not a good idea, let the mods. do what they do, i mean they will automatically do their job as needed.

    A very dedicated mod will be active daily and you will usually see them on forum often. Though I'm sure there will be times when real life imposes and they can't be on forum.
