Do you use speech recognition tools to write articles?

Hello. Can you imagine that I'm not even touching my computer while I'm creating this text which you reading now? I had to tell you that this speech recognition tool is very very awesome and I like using it very much.


Even I found it just today and I can tell you I'm having very much fun by using it.
To give you more idea what I'm talking about please visit this link and try it for yourself. I'm sure you're going to like it very much same as I do, specially if you are article writer or if you write contents for your blog frequently.

This was amazing anwebservices. I had no idea about this tool, my reply is also made using this tool right now. I can see a few minor grammar issues, but that's probably because of the fact that I'm not native in English, and due to my accent. However I do feel that this tool might come in handy and even if I won't use it regularly, I like how easy it was to use, so I'll have to use it for a few more things further on. Thank you very much I appreciate it

On a side note:
when I tried to say "Best Regards, hitmeasap"

This is what happended: "best regards, with me ASAP".

It's very cool you could create that lengthy post just by speaking it outloud and this tool might be a good option for anyone who would love to write and publish more, but struggles to get the words out.

Before using this app, Google Docs would often make transcription mistakes, such as not putting spaces after punctuation or alternately would start a sentence with lowercase letter. And, for some reason, it was always mispronouncing my name as 'Stephanie'. Though not really sure where it got that from.

At least for me, speaking with a more forceful and distinct (rather than soft) voice tone usually worked best when using this tool.

Yeah, it's definitely a cool option to use if you're having issues to put your words onto paper. I won't personally use this tool as much as I would like too, but that's because I find it easier to write, even though this tool is very easy to use. However, I will definitely use it every now and then just for the fun of it

Hi anwebservice It is may very interesting tool. I just heard it lately from Bev and she just asking am I used Google voice writing tools? But before I did not try and firstly I tried it yesterday. So, still I cannot say you how voice recognition work for me. But I read some article about this excellent tool. And I guess it should work fine for a article writer instead using keyboard, and this will work faster rather physical keyboard, which may awesome experience. Sure I will try very soon and I will get back to you to express real experience on it.

That is interesting, and fun too. I write articles yet I never tried speech recognition tools, or I believe i tried one once a long time ago but it was not getting the words written properly. I got used to typing and getting quicker at it after all these years, but I might just give it a shot someday. At least I might try to see if it could speed things up a bit or use it when I am too tired to type another word. I am curious, do you think it could work well on a tablet, to avoid the problem of the smallish keyboard? And is it accurate? Thanks for the suggestion.

Yes it can be very handy, specially to article writers. It should be working perfectly good on tablet too. All you need to have your microphone ON and you can write by speaking. As much i tried it since yesterday, it is accurate and that mostly depend on how fluently you can speak. But even if you need to polish few words after and fix the article, i bet you will still save a lot of time.

That is very unfortunate and hopefully you will get a lot of use from this tool/app. About ten years ago, I got numbness in my hand from writing and was out of commission for many months. Since then, i have learned to be smarter about how I use my hands, positioning them for most comfort when writing and taking frequent breaks. The mouse and keyboard are also more ergonomic now than ten years ago, so that's a good thing.

And, just like you, I was able to type this entire paragraph just using my voice inside Google Docs with the help of the speech recognition app.

I have really enjoyed using this app and also the Google Docs voice transcription. It's been so much easier to write what I want to say than typing it out. Though Google Docs was occasionally having trouble transcribing somethings that I was saying; also for instance mispelling still as steel, but mostly that was an issue with my built-in laptop microphone and not the app for Google Docs. And certainly this tool, would save a lot of stress on the hands and be less tiring than typing for hours and ideal choice for anyone who has a lot to write on a daily basis or has more limited mobility in their hands. I like how you can write so much in such a short space of time without having to worry about stressing your hands.

An interesting feature of Google docs is how it offers suggestions under Words which it thinks you might have misused.

Amazingly , one of the best tools I've ever seen or used for writing and certainly a time-saver and labor saver and I wish I'd had this many years ago. I will be using this tool a lot more now

When I discovered that my phone has an app that can afford me to write by talking, I had lots of fun trying it. I was even bragging that to my colleagues that I can write a short article just like dictating the words to my "secretary." And then I noticed that it was a burden on the battery. Where before my battery lasts for 2 days, using the voice recognition feature would take 2 hours to consume the full load of the battery. I haven't used that function anymore, not ever.

I write in English, however English is not my first language. Since I learned English through self-study, my spoken English not very good. I have never considering using speech recognition tools to write. I have bought a voice to text program, however, I am yet to install it on my computer. I am not sure whether the program will understand my spoken language.
