Hello all. What are some of the best places to sell your website or blog today? Apart from Flippa or NamePros DP or? What are some good sites or forums to sell your site on?
Or what sites have you had the most success on selling your site and are there any I should actually avoid??
Also what do you think of being able to sell your website right here on SEOClerks?
Would you like this ability or feature? If so why and would you use it?
I sure would and think it could be very good for buyers and sellers.
What do you think? And let me know about the others too.
Like you said in your original post... Flippa, Namepros, and DP are the main places to sell your website online today.
I'm not sure of any other big marketplaces that allow you to sell your domain and actually connect with buyers.
Being able to sell here on SeoClerks would be pretty awesome They already have a rating system in place as well as an escrow type system so no one gets screwed when transferring domains and/or code. The only downside of this is you'd need to hire additional staff in order to monitor the sales and transactions and make sure all the files were transferred and the domains were switching hands.
I can see SeoClerks doing something like this in the future, maybe the near future, but there would need to be a sort of beta testing process done before it were launched to the masses. Getting a few scammers in here trying to sell a $500 website for $1,000,000 just wouldn't look good. The section would have to be ran like a second business in order to be successful. Treating it like a normal $5 service for sale wouldn't be good since these would be bigger ticket items and one bad sale can ruin a website. I understand that SeoClerks is a well established brand, but it's branded for search engine optimization and website services, not website and domain sales.
In conclusion, I believe that SeoClerks can do this fairly easy, it would just have to go through extensive testing before launch so no one got screwed out of their money.

Yes this could be a great option to have on SeoClerks and I really think it should be considered when taking into account how popular a marketplace this is.
Thanks Raz! You make a great point! That is very true. The site is optimized for selling SEO and web services, so it would probably have to be done differently than just starting a new service. And as you said, probably have to go through some alpha testing phase and then a beta testing phase just to make sure it all work okay. There may be a few scammers that try to abuse the system. But then I guess, that's like anywhere for anything, there's always a small minority that try to abuse it for their own good but the good it can do should outweigh anything like that. We'll just have to wait and see what happens on that front once the forum migration has fully happened and they've finished adding and tweaking all the features they're working on right now. Could be exciting though!
I think most of the good websites to sell your website has been listed. I personally had some success with Digital Point and Flippa. I think it will be a good idea for Ionicware to offer a marketplace to sell and buy websites but I don’t think it should be part of SEO Clerks. I personally think it should have a new name and be dedicated for just website trading but of course, it should share the same accounts with SEO Clerks, Code Clerks and Listing Dock. This would require a lot more than the current SEO Clerks features, for example, you will need a proper bidding system.
Building a website requires a lot of time and effort. So you deserve to sell it for a good price. There are different places where you could try selling your website. Some of the most popular ones include
Thanks Elite! Yes I agree. Sometimes you can put a lot of time and work into a site. Even to the point that it has required your blood, sweat and tears (literally). So you should get a good price for it. I know some of the places you have mentioned already but I'll definitely check out them other places and let you know my findings/experience. What factors should one take into consideration before selling a site that may have an effect on the price I charge do you speak of?
Hi Mike thanks for nice question. You already mentioned which is the best site for selling website. Flippa one of the top site for selling website where more than 800000 registered buyer and seller and next one is the BuySellWebsite this is also another excellent marketplace for selling website. Beside SiteIndeed, Talk.iWebTool,Geekvillage, WebsiteBroker may some other marketplace.
I think SEOclerks can create a new section for selling or buying website as like software section. And I think it should be great, if ionicware make complete different marketplace for website buy and sell. And I agree with MasterA and it should be new and unique name.

Thanks Aj that's great I'll check them out thanks! As for "if ionicware make complete different marketplace for website buy and sell" yes that would be awesome! I will have to pose that to Jordan as a question and see what he says to it. He's quite a creative and silver lining type of person so I'm sure he would have something for that or may already do so in the pipeline! Bring it on I say bring it on!!
