I require a database creating for hospitality venues across the world.
The first step is to complete the Excel sheet which lists 1,982 venues (don't know how to post the sheet on here?).
The process is as follows:
1. Click on the link for each row and copy/paste in the website, email address and phone number from the ‘list’ webpage that opens. Primarily need the email address but might as well get the website and phone number while you are there.
2. If the website, email and phone number are all there, then great copy into the appropriate columns.
3. If the email is missing then go to the venue website and copy in the email.
4. If the venue website does not have an email and is online submission only, then put in the word ‘online’ into the email address column instead.
5. If the website and email are missing just leave it blank.
6. If the 'list' webpage shows a facebook, myspace, resident advisor etc... address then just leave blank.
7. If the same venue is duplicated on separate rows then only fill in the first row.
I've completed rows 1-20 as an example.
I estimate it takes 1 hour to fill 200 rows with data.
Therefore this list of 2k odd rows should take 10 hours.
After this I have another 7k list that requires the same work.
