    How to do SEO for a small website?

    have been independently doing SEO for my clothing website. Monthly I get 1300-1500 views. I did everything possible like using anchor text with hyperlinks, image alt tags (big boost), directory submissions, pinterest, polyvore, etc.

    But despite all these attempts, I don't understand why it's not going above that? One key piece that's missing is Google+ and Twitter/Facebook. Could that be the reason?

    Whether your website is small or big, same SEO tactics are applicable. YOu need to remember one important thing, results of SEO is not evident the very next day. You will have to wait for months, sometimes upto 6 months to see the positive effects of SEO. You must also remember doing SEO is not enough to get traffic. In order to get good traffic, your must have quality content, your niche should also not be in heavily saturated category.

    You have to learn the basic steps of SEO chores and this forum has many discussions about it. From what I learned here, the content is the primary factor for the SEO capability of the website so you can focus on it. Create a unique content and better if it is original which means not copied nor spun. Upload new and unique contents frequently to your website and that will certainly give your website a good ranking in the search list not only of Google but also of other search engines.
