Earning money as an influencer, does it work for you?

I have been asked by companies to be an affiliate marketer for their products or promote their products and I assume it's because they think based on my social media following that I might have "influence", I hope the relationship turns out to be a win-win for both the company and me. I hope my SMM helps them sell products and helps earn me a commission for the sale.

It will all depend on your market reach. You will earn substantially more as an influencer in social media if your audience is large versus just a few followers. The company hiring wants an introduction to the people following you. If you're plugged into a niche market, even a small group of followers or devotees may be enough to start as some companies will want access.

Thanks for responding. The endeavors have not proved fruitful for me. But others says it works for them.
