When you say followers, that means people who are interested in your tweets or in your posts in Facebook. And you get followers when your post is interesting. Remember that interest is the primary factor for people to follow you. It is either you give the impression that you are intellectual, relevant to current events and trends or even funny. But maybe being funny can get you more followers because it is a given that people want to be entertained. With funny posts, people will follow you.
