I'm not quite ready yet - I still need to do some online shopping for presents for certain people. I love though that online shopping means I can get ready for Christmas so easily. I don't need to make multiple trips to the store and battle crazy crowds, I can just do things bit by bit!

I agree with you, but be careful because sometimes the shipments took to long and it might miss Christmas.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Steve5
That's something worth considering. Though, it's okay if you're ordering around November. There aren't deliveries that take almost a month. Unless it's shipping overseas. So be aware of the shipping cost as much as the time it takes to arrive.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

amelia88
Thankfully most things I need to buy are domestic! I do need to purchase a few things for nieces and nephews living overseas, so I really need to get onto that ASAP. Hard to believe Christmas is almost only a month away!

Yeah. Me too. I'm glad that we're about to celebrate Christmas. We all need that holiday cheer. Also, most of us are looking forward to seeing family members. Makes for a nice yearly reunion.

Wishing you good fortune for your online Christmas shopping. Hope they like your gifts.

Thank you! Truly the best gift is time, but it's hard with loved ones all over the world. I think a lot of families fall into the same boat, where they can't be with all their family at once. Thank goodness for things like FaceTime and Skype though - they make everyone not feel so far away!

That is right. The days pass by so fast. I can't believe that Christmas is coming soon. I remember when I removed our Christmas decors in January and now I will have to decorate again. It is exciting to celebrate Christmas but also afraid that I am getting older since I celebrate my birthday in December.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Steve5
That's funny. We always seem to forget that simple fact. As much as we enjoy the holidays, it's also a reminder that we're gradually getting older.

It's fun when you're little. But the moment you're in your 30's, it starts becoming something else. Hope you found it hilarious as well.

I agree with you. Online shopping has made Christmas so easy. Though sometimes, I still prefer going to the store to see the item first before purchasing it.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I also prefer to shop at the store. Online shopping is good but I still want to see the products personally before buying them. Shopping is also a stress reliever for me even if I shop for others. I enjoy seeing different items and Christmas kinds of stuff.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

luv2xacosta
Shopping online during this seasons will only make delays all the products that you ordered that unless you order it ahead of time. I agree going personally to the store is a lot more preferable because you inspect the products you want to buy.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

superlicca
That is right! That is why I don't like to shop online. A lot of people are ordering online and your orders might still be waiting to be delivered. And the worse is if the products you ordered online have a damage then you will need to wait for another day to get a new one.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Steve5
Oh, I most certainly agree to that. Online shopping has made life so much easier. Imagine how easy it is to find stuff on sale. We won't have to go around a bunch of stores just to determine which has the best value.

Best of all are the huge discounts. It's amazing how much we can save during the holidays.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

One of the things I look forward in Christmas is the online shopping for presents and the sale! I am starting to save now so that I can buy presents for my family. I also look forward to the special dishes during Christmas night. I'm sure to gain weight again. I an not yet ready for Christmas but I am preparing.

Well my shopping for Christmas is done, but actual plans for who I'm spending it with are still a bit fluid.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

amelia88
Good job! That's impressive to be all done with over a month left to go until Christmas itself. I try and tell myself every year that I'm going to be that organized, but it never seems to happen. Thank goodness for online shopping!

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Judas2018
Of course. I shop online. Everyone should. Saves time - and headache.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

amelia88
I totally agree but there are also tons of people (my parents age for instance) who are totally against it. My parents don’t even have a credit or debit card they can use for purchasing online.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Youngshark
They should just get digitalized and realize that online shopping is there to stay. There are numerous advantages that come with shopping over the internet such as simplicity and convenience which you can never dismiss.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Judas2018
True. The only issue with online shopping comes within the delivery of the item. Sometimes once it comes to you, the delivery service either doesn't treat it very well, or they leave it out in plain view where it can be stolen by anyone who sees fit.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Judas2018
Wow. Sounds like your parents are digital holdouts. I think once you coax them into it, they'll find online shopping quite useful and less stressful than shopping in person can be at times.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

amelia88
Yeah, I think if they'd embrace it they'd love it and never go back! I think a big part of it is a confidence thing - they're not all that confident using the internet so I think that contributes to some fear.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

wow, good for yiu then. I hope you will have a great Christmas.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Wow. I envy you for completing that hard part for Christmas. I haven't shopped for my family members yet. I'm still thinking of something different from what I gave them last Christmas.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I run into the problem sometimes too @theresajane. I normally give cash or a giftcard to friends or relatives who're a bit more complicated to shop for.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Hahahaha. You must be such a lover of shopping my friend. This is because you did it even without having a certainly of who is going to be with you during the Christmas period. Its good to have such positive vibes though.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

The truth is no. I am saving a lot of money as I want to buy something for myself and for my family this coming Christmas. I want also to give other relatives and friends a gifts and since my birthday is quite near, saving my money is necessary for me to treat them on my birthday.

I feel you, I want to share something to my love ones, but I don't have enough savings to do that.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

We still have time to save so we should saved our money starting today as Christmas is getting nearer day by day so let's start saving now for our gifts to family, friends and contributions to food.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I agree with you. In our workplace, e call it the hunger games. We have to work hard and save money without spending it on the things that we want to buy and eat, so we can give something special to our family members.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Yes true. This is the time for giving so Christmas is so special when you give something to your love ones. Even if it's just a small gift but what's more important is that it has great value to them as you gift them with love.

I am not ready for Christmas yet, I still have to save a lot of money to buy gifts for my family and food for "Noche Buena"

I think I am not yet ready for Christmas since I don't have yet my Christmas tree and I haven't t buy some foods for Christmas since my salary bonus was not yet release up to this moment. It is good to prepare for Christmas since it is a wonderful year to celebrate in my own opinion.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Corzhens
The Christmas tree and decorations are also our indication of the coming Christmas season that’s why we only feel Christmas when the adornments are put up and the Christmas tree is installed usually by the first week of December. But for this year we had it earlier by the last week of November so that means we already have the Christmas spirit in our home by the first day of December.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

allyn2017
I don't think I am ready for the Christmas yet, there are still a lot of debts to pay so I don't really have enough money to to buy gifts.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Youngshark
Hahaha. 2018 has not been that great of an year for many people and we can pretty much agree that many are still stuck in debts wondering how the year will end. It does help nonetheless to be optimistic and know that great things lie ahead for the persistent people.

I am very much excited for Christmas because that's the only time that we can be complete as a family. But, I am not ready with my gifts yet. I always get pressured when Christmas is coming because I have a lot of godchildren and I have to gifts to each one of them, however, it doesn't make my Christmas less exciting.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Steve5
I'm actually ready for Christmas. We're all just waiting for it arrive. Good thing we did our shopping early. We saved a bunch during those flash sales. We also won't have to worry about the hustle and bustle of mall shopping during the holidays.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

amelia88
The hustle and bustle of last minute shopping stresses me out. Before online shopping was a big thing, I used to often have to go to the mall in the week before Christmas, and I hated it every single year. It's so stressful and crowded! I like being able to shop online because I can order everything, from presents to gift wrap, and not have to worry about any of the crowds or the stress.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Judas2018
The odd thing about the stores is, they offer major sales to get you off the computer and into their shops to buy Christmas gifts. Yet they extremely under-supply the hottest holiday items. So if you're looking for an iPhone 8 for example? A store might slash $200 off the retail price of that phone, but if they only have 50 or less in stock then by the time you get there they're sold out. Thus you made the trip for nothing.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Youngshark
Wow. That is pretty wise and I think that it is a tactic that everyone ought to know or at least those who are fond of shopping for the festivities. There are numerous flash sales during the month of November to take advantage of.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

superlicca
I am not ready since I have not bought any gifts yet for Christmas. I am still waiting for a friend to return the money that she borrowed from me. That amount can be added to my funds for Christmas' expenses. And I think I will do the shopping on the first week of December since there will have a lot of sales on that week.

Are You Ready For Christmas?
I am always ready for Christmas on January 1st of the following year. But I don't get really excited until November. When I drive through the neighborhood at night I look for the lights. When I go to the store I always smile when I see Christmas decorations. I search YouTube for holiday music. My kids are all grown so I don't have to do any gift shopping. They do it now. Are You Ready For Christmas?

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Judas2018
That's funny. Here in the U.S. many people hate when Christmas stuff is rolled out right after Thanksgiving. Any Christmas music or decorations before December 12th is too early for their liking.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

cmoneyspinner
Yes. There are many who think the holiday celebration for Christmas starts far too early. Today is December 1st and this year I'm going to share more holiday posts, pics and photos via my blogs than I did last year. Last year I let the holiday creep up on me very quickly and it was over before I could say BOO! LOL. Hoping to spread that Christmas cheer and even get my blog readers and visitors in the mood!

Me too. I want to save enough to buy gifts for my godchildren and nephews and nieces but I wasn't able to do that since my youngest brother has been diagnosed with a Cyst in his abdomen and my father got sick too. I spend my savings for them and thanks God they're better now.

It’s a wonderful thing that you were able to get your loved ones the medical care they needed. Better than any material possession without a doubt.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

That's too bad but I think that the best gift you could have ever bought your relatives for Christmas is the love and care throughout their troubled period. I believe that even other people around you would understand.

No one gets really rad for Christmas within a twinkling of an eye, sometimes it require a month to two of planning. Therefore, I cannot say I'm ready for Christmas, no —not just yet, what i can say is that I am getting ready

I'm still not ready, need to earn some extra money for all the Christmas expenses about $500-$600 more. I'm hoping I could earn it through online work.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

amelia88
I actually find that in the lead up to christmas there ends up being lots more online work options. Perhaps it’s because companies are trying to get things done before the end of the year. Right now I have lots of work to do and it’s helping my finances a lot!

I have started to prepare by asking the Lord in prayer on what and how He wanted me to celebrate the birth of His Son - Christmas. Gradually, I am listing the possible gift items I wish to give to some less fortunate children. I also canvassed for stores that sell those items for a lesser cost. I have purchased some food items to be cooked for Christmas eve.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

luv2xacosta
That's quite thoughtful of you. It is already like a tradition to us to prepare something for Christmas. Christmas will not be complete without giving gifts to our love ones and having a get together. I am sure god would be delighted to you helping giving gifts to less fortunate children. These children would be happy to received your gifts.

I am setting up my plans for this coming Christmas and I am just waiting my Christmas bonus to let my plans turn to a reality since I do not have yet the funds to be used in purchasing some items that I really want. This year was a generous year for me since I had earned a decent income from offline work as well as from my freelancing activities which is really great.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I’ve heard of some companies offering their employees a Christmas bonus and I think that’s wonderful! It’s nice to be rewarded for your hard work at a time of year that can often be very expensive.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

esteban123
Yes it is really nice to be rewarded because it makes us more motivated to work hard at some time, I think that Christmas bonus is mandatory to some companies because employees are entitled to received such benefits and besides it is stated under the law.

Unfortunately, I'm still not yet ready and so is my family. Our household is not yet embellished with Christmas decorations because my parents and my eldest sister is still coming from Australia. I'm also yet to purchase gifts and is still gathering ideas for gifts so I'm definitely not yet ready for Christmas. However, I'm quite productive during last minute preparations and so I'm not really that worried for Christmas.

November began and with it, for the vast majority of people, the best time of year. Exactly one and a half months before Christmas, the festive spirit of these dates is already in the air. Even so, I'll tell you a secret. Particularly, I am not so fanatical about the Christmas season as I am not religious, but I love Christmas music. I do not know why, but I like it so much that sometimes I listen to it even if it's April. So, in that sense, I'm overexcited for the arrival of Christmas.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Christmas music is the best! I love listening to it too - it just puts me in a happy mood. Michael Buble in particular has loads of Christmas cover songs that I just adore!

I have a relative who is really enjoying planning our Christmas and despite all intentions to the contrary, ended up buying things yesterday. They were doing the black Friday thing. However, I bought Snowman cutlery holders and socks for the relative. Thankfully we get to join up on the presents and have a family agreement to do small and silly. I do have Christmas lights out and am embarking on the annual detangle and am thinking how I want to decorate the house. We keep everything very simple in our family, but I am invited to see Father Christmas in a theme park so it will be special and really hope I get to give a Christmas sermon or too. It is also time to write a Christmas poem or two,

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

That's nice. I hope you get to celebrate Christmas joyfully with your loved ones. I think being with them during those shopping sales makes it more fun. You can also help each other find stuff before it's sold out.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Well I was with them in a way, they got everything online and chatted on Watsapp at the same time. We may hit the actual shops once, or we may not. She makes a lot of gifts and I will probably go to the local garden centre.

I have been saving money since last month for the extra expenses this December. It is not just for the Christmas gifts and the food but for the events before Christmas. We have the tradition for caroling where children and even adults go from house to house to sing carols and in return they are given money and treats. They do that for 9 evenings and you can imagine the big budget that we need for the more than a hundred people that sing carols to our house every night.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

amelia88
I've never had Christmas carolers come to my door, but I often see that happening in movies and in TV programs. I think it would be so lovely to have people come to your door and sing - it would really put me in the Christmas spirit. I can understand why if you had lots of carolers come to your door that you'd need to save some cash for them!

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Steve5
Oh, that's funny. I like how there's a tradition where kids are given money for singing in front of your house. This makes for a nice comparison to Halloween where kids are given sweets. You probably need that extra money. A hundred people can quickly turn expensive.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

overcast
Same with me. I am saving a lot on the Christmas and the black Friday offers. I wish to invest into the options these days. And I am hoping that it can be enough for paying some of the friends and the family in such case. I think it gets rushed during the christmas. So one needs to be understanding that part for sure.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

HappyLady
I wish this was still a house to house tradition here. A friend and I tried to go carol singing, though not for money, we were actually giving those who opened the door a gift. It was a church outreach thing. Most people kept their doors shut or looked at us as if we were mad. I did join a group singing in the street as that is still a tradition, but house to house seems to be a lost tradition despite the kids who knock at halloween. Says something about the way of the world just now!

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

luv2xacosta
I also seen that kind of incidence. I was walking in downtown area and then there are carolers with their guitars and ukulele, they were singing Christmas carols but one of the staff shoo them away. It is sad because the carolers are old people.

We just put up our Christmas tree this morning so it's starting to feel festive. Some people may say it's too early to put up the tree until after Thanksgiving, but since we have young children and they love putting up the tree we figured we would do it this weekend. I love that tradition of all getting together as a family to put the ornaments on the tree - it feels very special.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

That's really sweet. I also enjoy the festivity during Christmas season. Putting up the Christmas tree has to be one of the best moments. I enjoy putting the star up the top of it. It's like a signal that everything will be okay.

I'd love seeing childrens playing on the streets waiting for the one they called- Santa Claus to bring their gifts. I'd love seeing everyone exchanging presents/gifts and hugs. Yes I am. I want it to come tomorrow already. I’m actually also ready for this year to be over. I’m looking forward to the holidays so that I can have some much needed rest and relaxation. I want to chill out, enjoy myself, watch movies, read books and visit with my family and friends. I have been on OMAD since about May this year, so I’m looking forward to one-two weeks of eating normally. I can’t wait for Christmas.

Ofcourse. Christmas is my most favorite holiday, I want to put together many things to get geared up to revel in the christmas spirit. I've been ready for Christmas since the "-ber" months started! Christmas is absolutely my favorite time of the year! It's cheesy I know but who doesn't love Christmas? I get even more excited when our Christmas tree is up and decorated, which is now. There's just something about it that just makes me really truly happy.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Me too. It's really a favorite for all of us. Everyone can relate to that special feeling deep inside. We don't even need a big Christmas tree. A small one will do. You can just add pretty decorations to make it special.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

You don't even need to go overboard with decorations because everything is just so pretty around this time of year. One of my favorite about Christmas is walking outside at night and seeing all those lovely lights. And I also noticed that people seem to be nicer and happier during the Holiday season.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I've noticed it too. Everyone's all cheerful and giddy. It's like they're a child again. So much of the stress is somehow lifted and replaced by holiday spirit. I like decorating with simple lights and ornaments.

I enjoy seeing them too whenever I go out at night.

It makes me wonder if "Christmas magic" is real and not some fantasy written about in books. And also there's a certain peace that comes with the Holidays. To be honest, I don't usually go out at night because of my fear of the dark, but having all those lights out there when Christmas is near it gives me a chance to go out, after all, monsters don't exist in well lighted areas!

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I find it delightful how you pointed that out. I think it's true. What makes Christmas so nice is that we get to go out at night more confidently. Especially, because everywhere we go there's a light to fight the darkness.
