Your social media profiles should be treated like your marketing team

Social media can do many things such as increase your authority, boost your traffic, help with sales, and actually be like a marketing team that does everything for you.  Many people post once or twice to their profiles each week on average, but that's not nearly enough if you want to keep people coming in and signing up for whatever it is you're selling.

You can automate your social media posts to a point where they will go out on their own, but you will still need to log in and respond to anyone that is engaging with your posts.  Not engaging with people who are commenting on your posts is like getting a sale and never sending the person their report or products.

You can have a marketing team in place and get everything you need to be done the right way over time and you can also have your social media profiles act as a marketing team and bring people in 24 hours a day.  In this discussion, I'll be going over whey you need to treat your social media profiles like they're your marketing team.

Each platform has a different demographic
It doesn't matter if you're on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc. because each has their own demographic that will respond to specific things.  If you know your exact demographic, you'll likely gravitate towards one or two platforms, but you should always be able to engage with people on any platform they prefer.

If you want to target a younger crowd, you'll likely be on websites like Twitter or Instagram since those tend to have more teens and young adults.  If you wanted to target people 25 and older, you would likely be on Facebook or LinkedIn since those are the "old" platforms lol Your social media profiles should be treated like your marketing team  Knowing your demographic will help you target the right platforms, so understand who you want to target before you go ahead and post 1,000 times on each platform.

Different platforms still need the same voice
Using a different persona on every platform isn't what you should be practicing because people will talk to you on one and expect a similar response on another, but it will feel like they're talking to a different person.  A good way to go about social media marketing and treating your profiles like a marketing team is to talk like you are business casual.  Be professional but fun at the same time and you will likely please the majority of people who are willing to buy something from you.

No matter the platform, it can send quality leads
You may only be targeting Facebook because it has been sending the most leads, but that doesn't mean you should exclude Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, or any of the others.  Every platform has the right leads for you, but you just need to know how to get them out, and that means sticking with what you know and not altering your posts to please the main demographic on that platform.

If you can do this, you will filter out all the people who wouldn't purchase from you and the only traffic you'll be getting is what will convert much better in the end.

Your posts need to be enticing but not spammy
When you think about it, people who post something with a link and it just says "Buy my service now please!" it usually seems like an annoyance and spammy.  If you're doing this, please stop, and just post quality content with a link to your blog post or service.

You can't post a link and an advert every single time, you need to build a relationship with everyone on a specific social platform and the sales will come in gradually.  You might never have to post a link, you might just have to mention you sell something similar or something that will help a person out, and people will click through to see what your profile is all about.  If you can do your marketing just right, you will have people clicking through 24 hours a day and always buying from you Your social media profiles should be treated like your marketing team

In conclusion
I know I didn't go over much about "How your social media profiles can be your marketing team" but I did talk about what you should do in order to achieve this Your social media profiles should be treated like your marketing team  If you post quality content, engage with people, avoid spamming your links, actually help people, and do everything genuinely you will see your posts bringing in traffic and leads even when you're asleep Your social media profiles should be treated like your marketing team

People hate spams no matter how small they appear to be come in. So, it would be in your best interest in respect to your business to eliminate the use of messages or posts that appear to like spams. It's definitely going to spook out your clients and they will lose trust and interest in whatever you are offering.

Yeah, clients would be doubtful when they see spams and they could even see it as threat. There are other means of creating costumers and the wisest thing to do is make it professional.

If you are doing marketing work then you have to sport a profile that has a professional look with a decent picture and the information are the important data only. I agree that you do not need to be spammy in looks with some words or hints about your business because you are the business already. When people look at your profile they should already understand the brand that you are promoting.

Social Media is gaining more success into business and is always a center into topics that the young and elders get involved all the time. Most everything in social media is focused on business, investments, profit, services and stores. It's turning into become more business fashioned.

I strongly agree with this. Succeeding on market one requires quality and knowledgeable content. It should be helpful in a way that it has a complete information. It can also be inviting and good to the eyes to encourage people to look and check on your profile.

I agree in this article. Social media ia such a good way to find our market. Aside from having a social media account for fun or for sharing photos and memories, we can use it for our business. We can have a wide range of market through social media. We can reach our target market for free. But also we need to build a good rapport and decent reputation among our friends/followers in social media.

I do agree with you on that social media can be made or converted into a marketing tool. It can even be your primary marketing platform. I've been doing most of my marketing in social media specifically Facebook in which I developed 5 profiles, 8 groups and 5 pages in the span of 5 years.

Do not forget that bad social media can also destroy you. Negative marketing is rife and you need to be keen too. Like being wary when there are copycats out to ruin your name and recanting any false things they post.

I strongly agree with this. Social media is indeed a powerful tool of influencing others. Meanwhile, if your products are in low quality or you have a bad service, possibly you would not want to use social media anymore because this tool can make your business a mess by word of mouth or receiving negative feedback from your customers.

Definitely if your business becomes tagged poorly then that damage would be close to an irreparable one.

Right! A business that is tagged poorly will not go into places. Customers and your website visitors will not spend even a penny in buying your products. Most visitors are depending on the reviews and feedback from the other customers.

Using and converting your social media profiles for marketing purposes is a very effective method for gaining leads, traffic and conversions. All you need to do is build authority and use funnelling techniques to move traffic and get conversations.

Another great discussion. An alternate title for your discussion could be “SMM in a nutshell”.

It's true the various platforms have different demographics, but I do my best to present the “same voice”. After all, I am who I am. Even though I use the same voice, I find the reactions and responses extremely varied. I go from being almost completely ignored on one platform to being actively engaged on another platform. I go from gaining followers regularly on one platform to pulling my hair out trying to gain followers on another platform.

All in all, however, I love using my social media profiles and pages for marketing purposes. SMM (social media marketing) is something I can do on my own, making my social activity both personal and professional, and hopefully generating income. Also, SMM is a lot easier to learn than SEO. LOL.

I agree with you. The points discussed are really useful. My favorite part was "Your posts need to be enticing but not spammy". It's quite tricky to do that but I think it would really help a lot.

Social media can be a tool as a new business site. Like in instagram and facebook you can have a new account where you can use as business account. From there you can post your products and start being productive. Social media is not as what it is,it can be platform for those business minded people.

This is hugely helpful, since right now one of my part time jobs involves running the social media accounts for an organization. Totally agree with what you said about different demographics being reached by different social media platforms. Beforehand, the organization I work for only had a Facebook account, but we've branched out now to Twitter and Instagram to try and expand our reach.

I agree with the line that you have to build a relationship. Just today, I had unfriended one friend in Facebook for her spammy posts. Worse, she would be tagging me once in a while. And I got fed up with that spam posts so I had to let her go. But for the other friends who are posting about their business, it is okay with me if they post once or twice a week but tagging me is unethical.

Aside from being used as sharing and communication tools, social medias can also be used as marketing platforms. These can help market and advertise your business/establishment to more people. But in order to achieve that, you must maintain a good image of your profile and avoid posting too much. These would lead to misunderstandings with some users. They might unfollow or unfriend you because it may be possible to think that you have spammy posts. Be sure to limit your posrlts or updates per day, just enough to showcase your company's best assets.
