Give something away for free if you really want to be successful
It's no surprise that giving something away for free will help you become successful due to the marketing power you can have behind your service or product. What you give away shouldn't cost you much, hopefully, it's free for you as well, if you really want to make the most money from this lead generation method.

A free ebook gets attention
There are countless companies and websites out there giving away free ebooks that offer a way to do something. These ebooks could be something that helps you generate more traffic through free methods or it can be something that helps teach you how to knit a sweater lol. Your ebook has to be niche specific, target your visitors, and entice them to sign up to your newsletter for some free advice or content
A free service will always entice people
When you're giving away something for free it will ALWAYS get people signing up. It doesn't matter if it's what they were actually looking for or if they think they might need it in 6 months, they'll sign up as long as you have the right title along with the image.
If you just have "Free eBook" you'll still get signups, but you'll get more if it's targeted better like "Free 94 page eBook to learn how to make money online". People will see there are almost 100 pages of content, which will likely teach them something of value, and this will increase the likelihood of them signing up
Send them their order with a little extra in it
If you send physical products to your customers, you can always add a little extra in each package and put a bigger smile on their face when they open the package. I like telling people a story when I was younger about ordering from CCS.com and I always chose them because they would put a bunch of stickers in the boxes for me to plaster all over my stuff. I went back to them because I got a few stickers for free, something I didn't even ask for, and it didn't cost them anything because the companies on CCS were supplying them lol
Add a little extra in your packaging and people will come back time and time again
Do some free consulting to help people out
A lot of people will tell you to do some free consulting, but not many of them will actually do it, so you need to push yourself to give away free content to people in need. I do a lot of free consulting through one of my websites, a website built for free website consulting, and I see a lot of people coming back asking questions like "Can I pay you to set up this WordPress website for me?" and my response is "I Sure Can!". I would have never gotten that sale if I didn't help them out a little bit and they then realized how difficult something is due to not having any knowledge of it.
Free stuff will always increase the happiness of your customers, as well as people who may be on the fence, so start giving away some stuff you can afford to lose You can give away a few backlinks if you offer an SEO service, or you can give away some free advice as a consultant, and you will always have people coming back to pay you for a service or bigger product due to you being so generous. If you want to boost your sales, and customer loyalty, give away some free stuff
