Feature suggestion: Universal discount code?

Some of my buyers want to order some of my other services but the discount code I've given them for the service they've ordered before wont work for another service. I have to create and give them a discount code specifically for that service.

It's not really a problem but it just come up in convo with a buyer how a universal discount code (one that worked for any service and was unique to them) would be useful. That way they could literally use it for any service.

What do you think of this feature suggestion and would you like to be able to give your buyers a universal discount code that would work on any service? Or do you like to keep them for a specific service only?

As for me I think it would come in really handy especially for some of my buyers who have a lot of loyalty you know? Feature suggestion: Universal discount code?

Thoughts? Feature suggestion: Universal discount code?

Cheers!

Mike

I was actually thinking about this as well.

I was thinking of something an affiliate could use in order to promote like a 10% off your first purchase, which would negate their initial profits, but they would bring in many more sign-ups that would likely come back time and time again to make a purchase.

One of the biggest things to boost sales online is an incentive, which a small discount is, and having a universal discount code would be a really nice thing to use for this.

I would also like it if I could do one code for my own services that would work one time for anyone I give it to. This is similar to what I posted above, except it would solely be for my own services like what you were mentioning. It would be a nice little addition to the system, which would also boost sign-ups, and I would like to see it in the future if it's possible Feature suggestion: Universal discount code?

Looks like a good recommendation. I remember Godaddy and some of the hosting companies offer this. Such codes applied to any of the product gives some sort of discount. And it can be good for saving money on the client side. However both platform and the seller needs to genuinely think before running those codes. The reason being often this may exhaust some sellers and platform.

This would definitely be a good idea and would help out sellers quite a bit. A universal discount code would bring in so many benefits with the main benefit being that the seller would save time not having to create another discount code especially for one certain service. Plus, if a buyer thinks that a discount code does not work, some may not bother to contact you about it, they may just forget about the service and try and find someone cheaper.

No I don't think this is a good idea. It is convenient for you but not that good for your sales. The general idea is that you give out coupons so that people can feel like they are getting a deal. If you have a universal discount code your customers won't feel special they won't feel like this is special offer and they should take advantage of it.For your own personal services it may work but not for other peoples services, in my opinion.

How this will work -I have some small confusions? Are you thinking that every order have an unique code to get some discount for the buyer. In that case we have to pay additional charge to SEOClekr to give the discount for buyer.

Thanks

This is a great idea tho. It will definitely help customers because as a customer myself, I really hate it when the discount code I'm using is only applicable for one product/service and it will expire after that. For me, your idea is better because it will definitely make processing discounts easy because you don't have to make so many codes for each and every product/service you have. Thumbs up for a great idea.

Any incentive you can offer to your clients, that's a chance they won't miss. So, you can give them a discount or percentage off per item, or you can give it to them in the end when they finish buying. If this is your case, that you don't know how to give a universal discount code, then you can leave it for the end, a code that customers can apply when they are all done with shopping. That will give them a chance for not picking just an specific item, but to pick whatever they want, and them get the incentive when they're ready to pay.
