Why your branding should include guest posts

When it comes to guest posting, people see it as a great way to boost your rankings, but it's so much more than that!  You can literally brand your business and website through the right guest posts, and it doesn't take much time to do at all!  You can sit down and write up a bunch of articles one day, then submit them to the websites you want to guest post on, and wait for a response.  Usually they will publish your content if you contact them first, but sometimes they will be stuck up and just ignore you completely, but that's ok too because you don't need your content on those type of annoying websites lol.

Guest posts are absolutely great for boosting your rankings, even after they were devalued a bit by Google and the other search engines, so be sure to try and guest post on niche related websites by adding amazing content to them Why your branding should include guest posts

In this discussion I'll be going over why branding should include guest posts, and that's because:

You will get seen by the masses
It's no secret that a lot of blogs and websites of authority are getting a lot of traffic.  This means if you get your guest post on their pages, you can be seen by a massive amount of people within your niche and boost your sales as well as your authority and branding Why your branding should include guest posts

Branding is a difficult thing to do, only because it takes so long to achieve, so you should start doing it as soon as you can and enjoy the benefits of it for years to come Why your branding should include guest posts

You'll get niche related backlinks and higher rankings
We all know that backlinks are amazing to acquire when it comes to boosting your rankings, but high authority niche related backlinks are your guaranteed shot to the top of the rankings for your keywords.  Of course, you'll have to build a decent amount of these before you see your rankings stabilize at #1, but that should be a pretty obvious factor that should be known.  You won't hit #1 with a single niche related backlink from a website that is considered a high authority within your industry, you'll have to work much more than that to succeed lol Why your branding should include guest posts

You can get direct sales from the posts
Your guest posts can bring in direct sales due to how much traffic the website is getting.  Your post may be seen 1,000 times a month or it could be seen 100,000 times a month, but no matter how many times it's seen, you'll likely get some clicks to your website which could turn into more sales Why your branding should include guest posts

You're adding quality content to a 3rd party website, for free, and getting some sales in return.  Usually you'll have to write up something that is amazing and over 2,000 or 2,500 words, but that's not a big deal because you can outsource it to a credible writer or just take your time and write it yourself Why your branding should include guest posts  You can even rewrite a great article from an authority website and pitch it as your own Why your branding should include guest posts

You will become an authority the more you guest posts
Over time, you will become an authority within your industry and niche because of all the guest posts you've making.  You will be seen on multiple websites, by the same people, and they will think "Hey, I saw this website on that other site, let me check them out and bookmark their homepage!" which will turn into plenty of traffic later on Why your branding should include guest posts

Guest posts are definitely good at boosting your rankings, but they're even better at building an authoritative brand and bringing people in for a long time to come Why your branding should include guest posts

In conclusion
Guest posting to boost your rankings is a good thing, but using them to brand your business and website is a great thing!  You can literally boost your rankings in the search engines with guest posts and you can get direct sales from the links you place in the post itself.  You won't get all the guest posts you want to go live, because some people just don't want your content, but that shouldn't stop you from trying!  Get out there and build your posts, then benefit later on when your rankings begin to jump up Why your branding should include guest posts

I have seen a trend these days. Mostly from the bloggers who want the blog post on the huffington post and the washington post. Those are the blog networks that seems to be getting more exposure. So it seems like the huffington post seems to be having a lot of SEO spammer editors which are reducing the value of the brand. That seems to be the case with the guest posting. I wonder what Google thinks in that case.

When you say guest posts, I take it that I am the one to write an article for a blog. If that is the case, how can I be a guest blogger if I don’t know anyone who is a popular blogger? Anyway, in case that I have a friend who is a popular blogger and she would let me write a blog for guest posting, it would depend on the niche of her blog. In other words

There are many benefits of having guest posts on your website. First of all, you get fresh content, secondly, you will get a content with a different voice (the guest post will be different from the posts you publish), thirdly, you will gain new visitors because the guest post will drive his/her traffic to your blog by promoting his/her article. However, in order to benefit from the guest post, your poster should be a popular blogger. It is difficult to get popular blogger write for you. You might end up paying a big amount.

Those are good points Vinaya. I think you will indeed get all of those things from the right guest posts so it is a reason to use them. I think more people should consider guest posting, and having guest posts on their blogs for just some of those reasons you illuminated.

Inviting any Tom. Dick and Harry to do a guest post will not help you. You can make most of the guest post only when the guest writer is a good writer with a huge fan following on his website and social media sites. It might cost money to have a good guest writer on your website.

You are absolutely right on having to gain new visitors by creating guest post, and these visitors especially those who are actually good in what they are doing would add more content to your website and it ultimately helps in driving more traffic and more visitors as well. This has the propensity of getting you more sales as well.

I really like your idea about niche backlinks and rankings. Of course guest bloggers will give us more exposure, and out traffic can start to navigate even more towards us because of our affiliation with prominent guest bloggers. I am always on the look out for these guests, and I think it is just smart to support others in your niche and let them support you as well. Also, learning from your guests and their posts, as you mentioned, is almost like getting a "free class" in your niche which you didn't have to pay for, and if these guest posts start bringing in revenue then it is almost like getting paid, in a way, to take this class from the experts.

In 2015 I published 6 guest posts on my friend's website. I did not have my own website back them. However, my friend was kind enough to share my Amazon books on my guest posts. I managed to generate book sales through these guest posts. I am thinking to do guest posts again and this time I want to link my posts to my websites.

I know Guest Posting is good. It's great! It's excellent! I just don't have the confidence to do it. Don't ask me why. I can't explain why I'm frozen! (O.o)

I am however considering joining the Medium Partner Program. This website is already respected for its content and has a good site ranking. I think publishing articles there and joining the program will build my reputation and earn me some extra money.

Check out this guy's experience with MPP. It's encouraging.

Is the Medium Partner Program for writers worth it? Here are my results…

Having your branding included with guest post is a one way ticket to getting the people or your visitors aware of what you are offering because it brings the product and service for their assessment. It's just like involving the social media for the purpose of having much people get to know about what you aren't offering in order to enable them decide patronizing you or not.

Involving the social media for the guest posting huh. I wonder where the social media gets into play in the topic of guest posting? Anyway, social media is one fertile place to promote your business interest and when it comes to branding I guess it is also a good place to spread your authority on whatever specialization you have. Branding is a long process that you need to establish so you cannot expect results soon.
