Free backlink generators, do they work?

A simple Google search will show you numerous backlink generator.

So the question is do free backlink generators actually work? Maybe the answer is yes and no. You'll get backlinks but not necessarily from sites that you want links from and in the end, you don't really get a choice in which sites your backlink ends up on.

Will the backlinks be on good sites or just random auto generated blog spam backlinks?

Before using a backlink generator, you need to weigh the possible consequences of using one and ask whether or not you can afford a bunch of spammy backlinks from bad sites linking to you.

One of the more popular is Excite Submit that claims free Website Submission Service 1,808 Directories.

My own experiences is that I tried some of these, the result says the backlink has been built in the following sites. When I check the backlinks through the backlink checker, none of these sites show up.

Backlink generators obviously produce backlinks, but these backlinks doesn't bring any value to your website because it's mostly or completely low quality and spammy. In some cases you don't even know before hand where they coming from and cleaning them up can be disaster job LOL. I would stay away from such tools

anwebservices has basically summed it up perfectly. It's just not worth it for your site. Plus Google are becoming much more clever about these types of tools and methods so by using these free backlink generators, you are probably hurting your own site instead of helping it.

If backlink generators do not work, why do they exist. There are websites that offer automated backlinks, there are softwares that do backlinks. If the backlinks from these tools do not work, how do we generate quantity backlinks? I do manual backlinking and I can only create just about a dozen backlinks from forums and social media sites, sadly this number is not enough to rank higher.

If the backlink generator produces low quality backlinks then I guess it is working like an experimental program that cannot be used for the benefit of the site. I have read many discussions about low quality backlinks that would hurt the site. Instead of getting a good ranking, the low quality backlinks would pull down the ranking of the site. I don’t know how the ranking on backlinks really work and I only rely on what I have been reading in the discussions in this site.

I have experimented with free backlink generator. Based on my experience I can say that these free backlink generators do not work. They will show you the sites where your website has been backlinked, however, when you check on backlink checker, these backlinks will not appear. In my experience, using free backlink generator is just a waste of time.

I also believe that using free backlink generators to generate backlinks is a bad SEO practice. It will generate backlinks fro inferior sites. Low quality backlinks is as bad as not having any backlinks. However, I wonder why there are so many free backlink generators and why people continue to use such services? Furthermore, it is good to use a paid backlink generator programs?

In the end, free backlinks would only hurt your website instead of helping it. So therefore, it's best to completely stay away from it. If you don't know how to create a good quality backlink by yourself, outsource the job to freelancers and let them do it best for you.

I learnt a life long lesson ago not to trust anything that comes for free because it's definitely won't be worth it. Nothing good comes for free without any cost, and free backlinks generators isn't far from it. I haven't tried this before and I'm not looking forward to doing so anytime sooner.

The quality of the free bakclinks is not good. Google sooner or later finds it out. And they are going to devalue even more. So instead of chasing the DA and the backlinks. One has to focus on branding. Such that other people can link to the site. And they are the one doing the link juice without we thinking about it. That's the point with the backlink generators.

You make an interesting point regarding building a brand. sadly, building a brank is more difficult than reaching the top spot on search engines. In order to build a bran, you should be getting a volume traffic. You can get volume traffic only when your site appears on the top search results. In order to reach that spot, you need backlinks. Looks like there is no escape from building backlinks.

I think as with most things, you get what you pay for. If you use something like this for free, as the others have indicated the quality is not going to be good and in some cases you may actually hurt your website..so why take a chance? I think you should go with the backlinks you create.

In terms of SEO for myself and my business, I tend to avoid anything that has the word "generator" after it. It's just not a good idea. SEO and backlink preparation is best done by you or a professional who's being paid for their ideas and methods... that don't involve bots and such.

I am also suspicious of the word 'generator.' However, I use all kinds of generators in order to ease my work. The results are not good, though. Af far as automated free backlink generators, most of the users have said that they do not work as they generate poor backlinks. However, doing manual backlink is really difficult because there are limitations. If you have many sites and want to do manual backlink building for each site, it is even more difficult.

Of course they will work if you use them but they are not good for SEO because some search engines like Google can consider that as spam links. Take care on this and you only build quality backlinks.

Thank you very much for your answer. Since link building is one of the methods for getting a higher rank on SERP, it is easy to slip into automated free backlink generator. However, the truth is quality matters
than the quantity. manual backlinking gives you quality backlinks where as automated backlinks will generate backlinks from low-quality sites. I learned this lesson from my own experience.

When they work and not give you any positive outcome with your website, then it's usage is completely a waste of time and effort, it's not worth it. In my opinion, if you desire a backlink build one by yourself and let it be a very good one in order to get you positive rankings.

That's true. If the free backlink generator builds backlink with inferior sites, the backlinks will not help you get a good position on search engine. You need quality, however, the question is how do you develop quality backlinks in quantity. I can hardly build 10-12 backlinks manually.

Thank you very much for your answer. Social signals are also very helpful in getting higher rank in search engines. However, social signals are not enough, you also need backlinks for Domain Authority and Page Authority.

I have been used this technique for several website and several clients were happy. But if you submit your website automatically to search engines or article directories or several directories- that can take effect negatively.

In my opinion in the past I tried these and no they do not work they may seem like they are worth it but there not.

i my self offer good quality backlinks from do follow to dedicated web 2.0 also tier 1 and 2 backlinks also wiki. I do my own backlinks works I do not trust these free backlinks generators.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I have also tried to use automate backlinks generator and these backlinks are either low quality or do not count. You need high quality backlinks if you want to benefit from backlinks. You can try web 2.0 sites to create backlinks, you can also try sites like ezine articles to create backlinks.

I once used a backlink generator to create a few thousand backlinks for my new blog. That had absolutely no effect on my rankings. And had that blog not failed I'm sure these numerous low quality links would result in my blog being penalized.

While it certainly is really good to have numerous backlinks I think we should all not be too eager to build backlinks fast. One reason we get backlinks is to get direct traffic from the sites so to get quality traffic (from other websites) we should focus on having most links that point back to our sites in sites that are in the same niche as ours.

IMO creating free content for other webmasters is the perfect way to build backlinks for your site initially.

I have tried free backlink generators and have not been benefited by these backlink generators. When you check your baclinks after using backlink generators to create backlinks for your site, these links do
not even show up. You need backlinks for traffic and ranking, there is no point in using backlink generators that do not help in getting traffic or ranking. Thanks for your inputs.
