4 key tasks you need to practice in order to boost your websites profits

Everyone wants to make money online, but they aren't sure exactly how to run a business or website, so they tend to get disgruntled when their websites aren't making as much as they thought it would.  The main reason for them not making as much as they should is usually because they had much higher expectations for the online world than they throught.  They also thought it was an easy thing to do and could just make money overnight, which we all know doesn't happen to the majority of us, but it still pulls people online all the time to supplement their income.

To avoid a failing website, or business, you need to have a key set of tasks to do each and every day to keep you on track and boost your websites profits.  Most people will say these tasks are managing your PPC campaigns or answering emails, which isn't entriely wrong, but not the key set of tasks that we'll be covering in this discussion.  There are actually dozens of things you need to manage and do to make your business successful, but we're covering the ones that will get your to stand out from all the competition.  Those tasks you need to perfect are as follows:

Always be innovating something with your industry
If you're not innovating your industry, you're just going to be a follower of someone who is.  If your competitors are innovating their systems, services, or products to make the industry better, they will be seen as the authority and you will just be seen as a second rate business.  You don't have to reinvent the wheel here, little innovations actually go a long way.  You can do something as little as save a person a little bit of time performing a task or make it easier for the person to perform a job.  The more people you help out, the more likely they will come back to you time and time again to see what else you have to offer.

Innovation is what keeps pushing our evolution, if we didn't innovate anything, we would still have technology from long ago.  Our cars would still go 20mph, we would have planes that barely got off the ground, we probably wouldn't even have computers lol.

Some people see innovation as change, and some of those people think that change is bad.  A change to the industry, whether it's welcomed or scary to induct, is usually a good thing.  You may screw something up, but at least you know now that it wasn't the right direction to go in 4 key tasks you need to practice in order to boost your websites profits

Constantly improve your products or services
A lot of times I'll go back through my bookmarks and check out some websites that I saved from years back.  It's surprising to me that they're still selling the same exact thing they did 2+ years ago.  The saying "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" only gives your competitors the opportunity to swoop in and take your customers right out from under your nose.

You'll need to always look through your services or products and figure out how you can make them better.  You won't have to do this all the time, maybe every other month will work just fine, but you will definitely have to keep an eye on what is being innovated within your industry to see if you can make something of yours even better.

You're not just going to be making your products or services better for the customer, you will be doing it for yourself as well.  Think about it, you could reduce the time it takes to create a product or streamline your own service to help you push out more orders, which will increase your profits across the board.

Be available at a moments notice
Most people will put the hours they are available to be contacted, which is something you should try to not abide by.  If someone emails you at 10:30pm and your website says you're available til 9pm, you better be answering that email regardless of what time it is.  You never know if that late email or phone call will be your next $1,000,000 deal.  People regularly ignore the business hours you list on your website, so don't think for a second that they will prevent your visitors from contacting you lol.

There have been plenty of times when I have my websites say I'm only available until 9pm or 10pm and I'll get a message at 2am in the morning.  If I'm awake, I'll definitely answer it, but they will get a notification saying that they likely won't get a response for another 8 hours.  A lot of the times I get contacted that late at night by people on the other side of the world, who think it's my set hours to be contacted, which is pretty normal.  I don't get angry when they contact me at 2am, and I don't always respond, but when I do respond it's sometimes a big client wanting to do a lot of work 4 key tasks you need to practice in order to boost your websites profits  I would say it's happened maybe 5 times to me, a big client will contact me really late at night and I just happen to be awake to talk with them.  It's also happened where I don't respond, because I'm sleeping, and the potential client contacts 10 other companies who were their second choice, and it's too late by the time I respond.

If you can't respond to everything that comes your way, and you likely can't, you need to bring on a VA that can help you out when an email or message comes through while you're sleeping.  It will boost your profits exponentially and easily cover the price of what the VA is charging.  Think about it, if I had a VA in place back when I was sleeping through emails, I probably could have made an extra $20,000+ a year!

Always give more than you offer
This is a pretty common thing to do when you run a service or business.  Think of all the sellers here on SEOclerks, the ones that over deliver on their orders are usually the ones that get return clients who stick with them for months or years to come.  Over delivering is a common thing in the service industry, it's what keeps clients happy because they get more than they actually paid for.

Think about it, if you went out to dinner and your waitress brought you some appetizers for free, without you asking for them, you would likely think that place was pretty amazing.  You would probably tell your friends and family about your experience and you would definitely go back because of the free appetizers.  This is the establishment over delivering on your experience to keep you happy and a loyal client 4 key tasks you need to practice in order to boost your websites profits  You can do the same with digital services like SEO, content writing, PPC management, etc.  You just have to figure out what you can give away, without hurting your own profits, and your customers will become loyal since you gave them more than what they paid for 4 key tasks you need to practice in order to boost your websites profits

In conclusion
The key tasks that I went over are a great way to build your business up in peoples eyes.  You will be seen as a person or company that does more than what they write on paper, and word will get out pretty quickly about how generous you are.  If you do this for long enough, you will see a massive amount of clients referring their friends and family members to your service or establishment so they too can have the same experience.  You'll need to treat every customer the same, this means over delivering every chance you get, so they don't see you as the type of company that strategically selects people to get more.  It can be misidentified as favoritsm, and you really don't want that label on your service or business.  Treat everyone how you would want to be treated, while over delivering a product or service, and you will be in business for a while 4 key tasks you need to practice in order to boost your websites profits

I always try to give more than I offer. When I take an order for writing 500 words article, I always deliver 50-100 words more. If I take an offer for building website, I also design logo and banner as extra service. I try to woo clients by giving more. It is important to be available at the moments notice, however, right now, this is not possible for me. I am not 24 hours online. When I shut down my laptop, I get disconnected from the internet. I do sometimes use my phone to check messages, however, this is too often.

Yes, giving more than what is asked is a good rule to follow in terms of any job. If you can do more than th minimum the boss is likely to see you as a "go getter" and give you additional responsibilities and if you are lucky, additional income!

I remember the slogan on a poster in our office when I was being interviewed. It says your availability is more important than your capability. Gee, that made me think. And yeah, that slogan or motto is correct because no matter how good an employee is but he is absent so what happens to the job? In business, it’s more of the availability than the quality. Just the other day, I went to the market to buy chicken but my usual vendor was not yet ready so I bought from another vendor. That’s a neat lesson in availability especially if your business is service-oriented, be quick in your action.

You spoke my mind. What you can do is one of the things that determines your success, however, equally important is whether you are doing it promptly or not. You might have a great product or service, however, if you do not respond promptly to the buyer, the sale might never happen.

Thanks for the beautiful techniques. Now at this time I have been running a non profit based website where I need huge peoples interaction on specific category. Innovation and availability- these 2 techniques should need to apply with my website. Because audience is my only benefit. I am looking for worldwide specific category based audience for my website. I shall add a live chat system on my website so that people can find me online. Thanks for the details specification about innovation also.

Thanks

Have you studied very well how the live chat system works? I have a friend whose website has that live chat feature but it doesn’t work because he was not around to handle the live chat. I wonder how you can be on a live chat all the time when you can only spend an hour every day on your site. Maybe the availability is important but when we evaluate our time for our availability you will see that you are not really available.
