In a digital world, business cards get looked over, but they can still be a very powerful thing to have on you at all times.  You never know when you're going to have a conversation with someone and their interest peaks because of what you're saying, then they ask "Do you have a card I can hold on to?" and if you don't, you likely just lost a customer because they won't remember the important details like your website URL and sometimes your name.  If you would have just taken the time to get some business cards printed up, you would have turned that friendly conversation with a stranger into a profitable time investment

There are thousands of pre-made designs out there, and they're pretty easy to pick out of a crowd.  Usually they have basic stock images on them and your contact information is always in the same spot, BORING!  Take your time and work on your own design or have someone do it for you.  There are plenty of amazing designers here that can knock out a mezmerizing design in a few hours, and they'll likely charge you a few bucks for something that could increase your sales exponentially

When someone hands me a business card that has their information on it but the design is all white with a slight blue line around the boarder, I think they work for the government or own a funeral home.  I don't wnat to be handed a card by either of those types of people, so you should probably go over your design and spend a few bucks on one that will set you apart from the CIA and a funeral parlor lol.


More professional than giving someone your email
There have actually been commercials where people give out their emails and the client thinks "Is this for real?".  Professionals don't give out johndoefixer@gmail.com on a piece of paper, they give out great looking business cards because they are running, or working, for a business.  Sure, your email will likely be on the card, but that's just one of the many ways someone can contact you if they really wanted.

If you see a business owner put your card in their wallet, they are likely going to look it over a second time because you peaked their interest.  If they just hold onto it throughout your conversation and then you part ways, it's likely going in the garbage can.

So, increase your chances of getting your business card in the wallet of a whale by having a card that stands out and actually impresses them when they see it
