4 ways to repurpose your content for better success

Repurposing content isn't the newest trick in the book, but it's a good one that continuously feeds the content monster that is Google and the other search engines.  Repurposing content isn't a difficult thing to do because you're either rewriting old content in a way that makes it unique or your using your titles and quotes within social media and marketing in order to increase exposure and engagement within your own blog.

Repurposing your content could simply be you changing the format of something you already did, making it unique in the eyes of the readers.  You can get more out of your content if you do this and it helps you hit multiple different platforms at the same time.  Repurposing content is a great way to write one piece of content and focusing on the promotion of that content more than writing multiple articles every single day within your industry.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, only rewrite and repurpose content from the past that has actually shown some success.  You don't want to waste your time on something that didn't have any success, because it likely won't have any success again.  By repurposing the content that already had some success, you know it has a good chance at being successful again with your readers.

Repurposing your content isn't the easiest thing to do if you don't have any direction, so here are 4 great ways to repurpose your successful posts from the past.

Transcribe audio into text
This is a great way to get content for your own blog as well as third part websites you're trying to build up your own authority on.  You can hire someone to do this, or you can do it yourself, and it shouldn't break the bank.  Audio can't be recognized by the search engines just yet, so if you have transcribed audio on your website, you could actually rank for various terms that your competitors are trying to rank for with audio promotions.

Infographics are fun and useful
Infographics are actually a great way to create engagement within your blog as well as on social media.  People love statistics and images, and that's basically what an infographic is!  People like infographics because it's loaded with need to know information and it gets right to the point without any sort of fluff to read around.

You can repurpose your blog content, quotes and anything else you can think of into an infographic that your industry will love.  If you're not great with Photoshop, it's not the end of the world!  There are plenty of free services online that can help you with infographics, and they usually have plenty of free templates you can use and just add your own info 4 ways to repurpose your content for better success

Convert your content into a PowerPoint
Slideshare is a great place to post PowerPoint presentations and it's free to use.  Slideshare is owned by LinkedIn and you can actually cross share your PowerPoints between the two platforms, which is pretty great.  Not only will you get some traffic from your slides, you will boost your SEO through the links created in the text section of the PowerPoints.

I've had a lot of fun using SlideModel in order to quickly create PowerPoint presentations for Slideshare.  You can get everything done a lot quicker, and we all know that time is money 4 ways to repurpose your content for better success

Repurpose your quotes
One of the best ways to get repurpose your content is to use your quotes in image form.  How many times have you been on Instagram and saw an inspirational quote on someones profile and it was like 10,000+ times?  You can use plenty of free tools to do this, and they will make images that can be used on various platforms, not just Instagram.

Posting images with your quotes in them usually have a great response rate on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and even Google Plus.  I've never seen much success with them on Twitter, but then again I'm not the best at using Twitter because it's not one of my top 3 networks I focus on.

In Conclusion
Repurposing your content doesn't have to be a time consuming thing that feels like a burden, it's just a different way to market the content you've already spent plenty of time on.  Plenty of people have seen success through repurposing content, so you should take a stab at it and see where your business goes 4 ways to repurpose your content for better success

I like the idea of making content into PowerPoints or even using Prezi presentations to stimulate the interest in audiences and content admirers. I think that is a great idea. I also like the idea of using audio into text, or the idea of just recording my own audio and setting it up as a clickable link for people so that some of my blogs can be "heard and not seen", so to speak. I think that is a cool way to really personalize one's content.

I am not comfortable with presentations using Powerpoint because I feel it is very slow and a waste of time. In worse situations there are presentations that you need to wait for the full page to display before you can scroll to the next page. That is very time consuming and I always warn my staff in the office in designing a presentation that way. Let the reader have the freedom to instantly navigate the pages of your presentation.

All of you advice is excellent but I found a really fun way to repurpose my content.

QUIZZES!!

I found a site that is a social blogging community. They accept articles. But they also encourage their members to create lists, polls, and quizzes.

I enjoy creating quizzes using content from articles that I have published at other sites around the web.

This site is an income earning site so I can earn money from my quizzes as well.

I never considered this idea before. I have had to create polls and the like many times in my academic pursuits, but I never thought about a way to possibly monetize doing this. Would you mind naming the site for us? I would really like to check this idea out. In any case, I think that this almost sounds like fun, especially if you are allowed to tailor the information you are quizzing on to your own personal likes and preferences and knowledge base.

The site is called Virily.com.
Even though I could get credit for referrals, I'm just happy to send others their way to hopefully keep the site up and running. I have been at too many of these social blogging sites that were terrific and yet they shut down. I'm really hoping this one has staying power. I am weary of republishing my content. It's a lovely site and the quizzes are fun. You could also create lists.

Oh! Thanks so much! That is very sweet of you to share this with me. I think that it is always really awesome when us freelancers are willing to help one another out with information such as this, especially considering that we are basically all of one another's possible competition. I am going to check it out and hopefully contribute there. It would be really cool if I could add this to my list of freelancing endeavors--of course, I am probably already in over my head with what I am doing already, lol.

Asking question. That seems to be always working for many people. I think success becomes more relative and slow if there is not much engagement. You have to work around many small things in due process. I guess that's another reason I prefer to engage with the users in the comments. That seems to be one way to make sure you are on the right track for the success. This always works out with the people who are working hard for the success.

I have never thought about transcribing audio into text and publish as a post on my blog, however, I think this is a great idea. However, I have often used videos to build contents. I watch vidoes and if I see the potential, I write a post based on the video content. I also add as much information as I can and then publish on my blog. I have been doing this for a long time.
Powerpoint presentation is a great idea, I might do this some day

With the mention of transcribing the audio part of your content into text to be SEO compliant, does this mean that video pitches or spiels are not good with SEO? I had been mulling on the idea of the video in blogs that is called vlogging. Does a vlog of 2 minutes affect the SEO ranking positively or it has nothing to do with SEO? I’m sure a half page of text in the content can definitely add to the luster of SEO ranking. If videos are not recognized by SEO then the future of vlogging is on a disadvantage.
