5 backlink methods to help entrepreneurs on a shoe string budget

When it comes to link building, there's not secret that you need to do it in order to increase your rankings across all of the search engines.  You will need to continually be building up your links in order to stay above your competition and rank for multiple keywords only to bring in hundreds or thousands of visitors each month.  When you're doing your own backlinking, you will need to get your links from high authority websites that are already trusted by the search engines.  By getting these links you're basically showing the search engines that this website likes you and you should be given a boost in the rankings.  Think of it as a popularity contest and the website with the most high authority links is prom king in your niche lol 5 backlink methods to help entrepreneurs on a shoe string budget

The main problem for people doing their own backlinks on a shoestring budget is that a lot of the software and services out there to help you find these great link locations are pretty pricey.  One service that I use for all of my clients costs me around $150 a month and all it does is look up backlinks for me so I don't have to do it myself lmao 5 backlink methods to help entrepreneurs on a shoe string budget  It's a great tool for me to use, but if you think about it, my clients are paying for it.  It's not the best tool to be using if you're only going to be looking up links for your own website, so you'll have to improvise when it comes to being on a budget.

Of course you'll have to bootstrap your profits which means that every penny coming into your business account needs to be used for paying business bills and new advertising or SEO methods.  This way you will be able to be more successful in a shorter amount of time.  Bigger companies don't have to worry about this too much because they have an advertising budget, but if you're not able to spend much money on this, you'll have to do everything on your own by bootstrapping.

1. Write for an authority site
Some people will tell you that blogging and guest posting is dead, which simply isn't true because I do it daily and get a decent amount of traffic because of it 5 backlink methods to help entrepreneurs on a shoe string budget  Of course you have to do it the right way from the start otherwise you'll just burn your own website and some social accounts along the way, which is never a good thing.

Back in the day you could simply write up a pitch and send it to all the blogs in your niche to see who would allow you to add a guest post to their pages.  This still works well, but not as much as if you become a write for an authority website in your niche.  What you'll basically be doing is gaining the trust of the website owner and they will allow you to post content whenever you want, all while having your signature link aimed at your money website 5 backlink methods to help entrepreneurs on a shoe string budget  Now getting to this point isn't easy, you will need to consistently be submitting requests to be a guest poster, and after you get a few up and running you will pitch to them asking if you can come on board as a writer for their website.  Sometimes you will be able to get paid for your articles while other times you'll have to do it for free.  If you're getting a dofollow backlink to your website from each article, don't worry about getting paid for the post because they're paying you with a link lol 5 backlink methods to help entrepreneurs on a shoe string budget

In the old days of blogging, you would pitch a guest post, write it, and then move onto another website.

Think of Neil Patel and all the articles he posts around online.  He's not seen as a guest poster because he has built his name up so much by doing guest posts that he's now seen as an authority figure within the niche of online marketing and people encourage him to come in and write on their websites 5 backlink methods to help entrepreneurs on a shoe string budget  If you can get to this level of authority within your niche, the backlink flood gates will open and people will buy anything you're associated with lol.

2. Collaborations with Influencers within your own industry
Collaborating with influencers in your industry only helps you build authority for yourself.  People will see you working with a specific influencer and think "Well if this guy thinks he or she is good, I do too!" and that's when your authority begins to go up.

Now you're not just building trust with the people following that influencer, which is amazing, you're also building trust with the influencer themselves.  You will work with them on a few different projects and eventually the influencer will allow you to get a link on their website which will only help you in terms of rankings 5 backlink methods to help entrepreneurs on a shoe string budget

Getting one influencer to link to you is great, getting 10 to link to you is even better 5 backlink methods to help entrepreneurs on a shoe string budget  When you're working with one influencer you will be showing other influencers that you're credible and someone they should also be working with.  They will follow suite and bring you on board, which wille eventually get you that backlink you were hoping to get from ther website or blog 5 backlink methods to help entrepreneurs on a shoe string budget

3. Have a in-disposable resource
When it comes to getting noticed online today, it's extremely difficult.  What you'll now need to do is create something that has value, but you're giving away for free.  Usually this works best if you're writing up case studies so others can come in and see what you've already found out about something they were going to try.  You're basically field testing techniques, methods, services, products, etc. and writing about them in detail so everyone can see what you experienced.  Give your own opinions about the entire experience and people will likely share it, gaining you some nice backlinks in the process 5 backlink methods to help entrepreneurs on a shoe string budget

What you can do is create a guide on something and post it to the public.  You will talk about your experience and how others can use whatever you're talking about to their advantage.  People love step by step guides because that means they don't have to do all the research themselves lol.

4. Get some interviews
We all know that getting interviewed means you're being asked questions by someone who has a following and wants to post your answers for these people.  A lot of these interviewers are now running podcasts for their followers and you'll need to get on them in order to get the word out about your service or product.  Now you won't usually get links from the podcast, but you will be able to say your website within the recording and people will look you up, and hopefully share what you're offering.

Not many link building strategies talk about this, mainly because it's unknown.  What you'll be doing is basically getting your link within the podcast description, hopefully, and even if people don't click through, Google and the other search engines will notice it and give you a pat on the back for it lol.

5. Reverse Guest Posting
We all know what guest posting is because of previous knowledge or you just read this entire discussion lol.  But some of you are wondering what reverse guest posting is and how it will work to acquire a backlink?

Well reverse guest posting is when you ask bloggers to come in and post on your blog or website.  They will usually do it in order to spread the word about their own website, but they may not always know the benefits so you might not have to give them a backlink.

The beauty in this is that a lot of these guest posters will usually have a page somewhere on their blog that will list where their own services and websites are mentioned, meaning you get a nice little backlink in return for them adding content to your website 5 backlink methods to help entrepreneurs on a shoe string budget

In Conclusion:
It's never easy starting off on a shoe string budget, but if you follow the 5 simple tricks I posted above, you can get some pretty awesome backlinks aimed right at your pages 5 backlink methods to help entrepreneurs on a shoe string budget  It will definitely take time and a decent amount of effort to churn out quality content, but it's worth it in the end when you're ranking in the top 3 on Google for a competitive keyword which will send you hundreds or thousands of orders each month 5 backlink methods to help entrepreneurs on a shoe string budget

I think guest posting definitely helps. Just that you have to work really hard in order to build a strong foundation for your blog. So that other people want to do the guest blogging. Because that is something that I think should be in your budget as well. I have learned that some of the time it's reasonable to properly manage the backlinks. You can see that many people don't pay attention to such blogs and that's something we have to consider as well. I have learned to manage on that front it seems like working method.

Collaborating with an influencer is easier said and done unless you know the influencer personally who is willing to give you ample support. From what I understand of an influencer, it is one user in the social media with thousands of follower and friends. The status of an influencer is like a celebrity that he can endorse a product for a fat fee. So where is the logic there that an ordinary entrepreneur can get the cooperation of an influencer for a collaboration? Pardon me for this comment. I just want to be honest with my opinion and to show that I am being realistic.

I agree with Number 5. Reverse Guest Posting – I have even tried it and enjoyed the write-ups that were submitted by the guest bloggers.

RE: Number 1. Write for an authority site – Don't think I can ever do that as I am not much of an expert in anything.

Number 2. Collaborations with Influencers within your own industry
This one sounds promising.

Number 3. Have an in-disposable resource
Haven't gotten to the point where I can do freebies. Working on it!

Number 4. Get some interviews
Have not gotten interviewed but have interviewed others. It was fun! I couldn't believe they agreed to let me interview them. Just goes to show you. If you approach a person, they will either say "Yes" or "No". I interviewed a sci-fi writer. Going to look around for some people to interview.

Guest post works definitely. But I don't know how many websites openly accept any random author unless he is established as such. Because that'd be something we have to try out on our own too. We get few rejection in that case. I have also found that for backlinks forums are much better resource. It can definitely help in many ways.

Can't speak for the others, but if I'm approached by an established writer or by a newbie or by somebody whose experience is somewhere on the line between a beginner and an established writer ~ if they want to publish a guest post via my blog, I'm willing to negotiate. So! You now know at least one. Me! 5 backlink methods to help entrepreneurs on a shoe string budget

As usual you make some great points. However, not all of us do blogging as our main source of income and have other jobs and commitments. I think if you have the time and the resources you can devote to these things, then these tips will defintely work for you.

#1 writing for an authoritative site or gust blogging is a good one, but few business owners really understand the value or are willing to put in the effort. If trying one blog post doesn't drive a ton of traffic, they see it as a failure. They don't understand that guest blogging requires consistent work and the returns can take time.

Guest posting both ways is definitely a good idea. Guest posting on another blog will be great because you can manage to get a backlink on an established site that will help bring some traffic your way. And of course getting someone to do some guest posting on your blog can be good because they may bring over some of their traffic to your site. Of course, it's always beneficial if they forget the benefits and don't ask for a backlink in their posts lol.

Great ideas. I especially liked "writing for the authoritative site." If you can get your article published on high ranked and high traffic site, you can get a valuable backlink to your site. You also gain traffic, which may convert to sales (because they voluntarily check your website).
Getting interviews is also a good idea. I have done this in past. My interviews brought a large traffic to my blogs.

Isn’t it a big risk when you buy backlinks because you need to verify each backlink if it is placed in a good website? I also wonder how to go about buying backlinks, is that a ready made set of backlinks that will be given to you or is it a service that will create the backlinks for you on selected sites? I guess it is safer to just do your own backlink building to assure you of the proper backlinks.

Thank you for the info! Definitely useful and cost effective. But a bit hard to incorporate. I also noticed that you haven't mentioned posting in forums as a good source of backlinks... I've seen numerous individuals place links to their sites in forum signatures so that whenever they post something in a certain forum, their link will show as well. Is that method no longer acceptable?

What about posting long and meaningful comments in forums and including a link or two to some of your websites? Is that a good method of having quality backlinks?

I think if you're on a tight budget and are in the backlinks market looking to buy, you should target sites you know are in your niche, and are a fit with your audience and content. Purchase a backlink on those sites and hope for the best. Backlink buyers on a budget cannot afford to experiment with shady sellers or backlinks that might not deliver a good return on their investment in the long run.

Purchasing backlinks from a site in your niche is a great way to generate backlink. However, I have never done this. First of all, I am not sure whether the backlink I generate by paying to the site will remain forever. What if the owner removes the backlink once you pay to him?
In my observation, most of the backlink sellers are selling low quality backlinks.

I think that needs to be negotiated before any payment is made. In my previous experiences, I pay a site owner based on how long my back link will remain up. If it's a monthly fee, then I am willing to re-up that if I get good traffic. If it's a yearly fee, I am also willing to re-up if the traffic is good. But I also visit the site regularly to see if the site owner is keeping their word. I've never had an experience where they didn't. If I did, then that would be a situation I'd take to paypal for a partial refund.

Thanks for explaining how this works. Usually, I publish articles on article sites and give backlinks to my primary site. Normally, I share 2-3 links per article and I always share related links. I have some friends whose blogs are ranked higher than mine and they are giving me backlinks as a favor. However, I mist also consider paying someone to give me backlinks. However, I will have to check DA, PA and Alexa rank to see whether the site is valuable or not.

It's a good investment. So long as the person you're buying from keeps their word and has your link up for as long as you have purchased. Their site should also be heavily entrenched within your niche, and have strong traffic and engagement levels. Placement is important also. The link needs to be in or on a high traffic page or area.
