blogging or vlogging?

Blogging is fully based on text. There are many kinds of blogs, travel blogs, cooking blogs, tech blogs etc.

Let me put it this way, you plan to go somewhere, for a holiday destination, you want to know about that place, So, what to do, you go online and search and that place and read about other people’s experiences on that particular place. They tell will about the do’s and don’ts. Or When you decide to get a new smart phone or laptop, you want to know more about it, then you read, the reviews on their blogs.

It is when you can express your thoughts in a written form.

Vlog is a blog but in video form. In vlog post, you can see the vlogger reviewing about personal experiences
based on the uses of certain product or service. However, for vlogging all camera equipment’s are required.

Common example of vlogging would be in YouTube. Anyone here familiar with the YouTube sensation “Casey Neistat” I am a such Casey Neistat fan, I follow him on a regular basis, even though he had stopped daily vlogging. He is a film maker and only in his vlogs you get to the
magic of cinematography, he has over 6 million followers, over a billion views and of course he makes a great living via AdSense.

The only thing which you should be aware of is that you should not copy content from somewhere else on the
internet and add it to your blog or download someone's video and upload it to your channel. All content in your blog or YouTube channel should be created by
you.

In my opinions, online blogs never get out of date due to constant updates, but vlogging is much more entertaining, not all people enjoy reading blogs.

Personally I myself prefer to blog however when it comes to looking for things to entertain me I love seeing vlogs from people. I noticed vlogging seems to be becoming more and more popular. My eldest son has done a few vlogs himself and has had quite a lot of interest shown in them, he hasn't done any in a while though.

I agree, when you are looking for something more entertaining vlogs are the most entertaining, You can video just about anything from your daily routine to you next trip out, some vlogs have given me ideas as well so there is always that advantage.

Over the years, the internet users have changed from readers to viewers. There is a big difference between readers and viewers. reader take a lot of time to read, viewers have short attention span and they cannot give more than 1 or two minutes for any web content. Since viewers are increasing, videos are all rage. Therefore, vlogging is the future and blogging is a dying soon.

I have a casual friend who is a vlogger. She said that it is very fulfilling to see her talking and doing things on the video. Her niche is not clear because she just vlogs whatever comes to her mind. It can be cooking or just plain promenading. I also love to test vlogging but it’s not as easy as blogging where you only need the computer with the keyboard and that’s it. Vlogging involves a digital camera with a good resolution and a video editor software which is not easy to learn. So maybe vlogging can be for later.

By the way, destination choice is really important as it really impacts the account's popularity and the followers' activity. I think that many places are just a magnet for tourists and make the travelling a case for making a good content, such as for example St. Petersburg (Peterhof https://petersburg.expert/tour/peterhof-palace/, Church of the Savior on blood etc). Blogging has nowadays become the main field for self-expression among people of all ages.
