    The bank usually requires electric, water, or telephone bills if the principal ID does not include an address. If these are not available, then one can secure Police Clearance, Voter's Certificate, Postal ID, or other acceptable IDs that contain an address. I find this a bit of a problem, too, when opening a new account as my Social Security ID and Professional ID card do not include an address. It's just great that all utility bills are under my name and I can present them when the bank ask for them.
