If you hire a developer to develop a program, you need to let your developer know that you will be selling this program. The developer could easily send the site a DMCA takedown notice and that's never good.

So how exactly would you get rights to sell a software?

You need to either have documentation that you can sell the software, or permission to do so from the developer themselves. For instance, if a client of mine decided to resell a product I developed for them, and without knowledge was going to resell the product I probably would file DMCA takedown notices, and not only that would consider going to court over loss and damages. Developers always add their name on whatever they are developing, so if your software has this, then they probably didn't intend for it to be resold, and if you are allowed resell rights, then you're allowed to resell the product.

It is important that you make it clear what rights the price of the software includes, ie, whether it is for personal use only or you get full ownership of the software. If you get full ownership of the software, then you own it and the developer don't own it anymore so you can sell it but if it is for personal use only, then you cannot sell it. You can always buy resell rights from them but just make sure you make it clear. This way you won't break the TOS of SEO Clerks. You can sell other developer's work only if you purchased the rights to do so and in that case, you can sell it here on SEO Clerks and other websites.

Let us know if you have any other questions and we are happy to help you out.

Kind regards,
MasterA

Whatever is against TOS you just can't do it! Clear enough can i resell here a software developed specially with my specification?? Even if you list that software for sale you will need to provide proof of ownership or written resell rights from original developer, or your service would be removed, and you can even finish with infraction to your account. So make sure you follow the rules and you will be OK

Hello pushnaira,
You can sell a software or a bot if you are the owner and creator of these, or if you have resell rights. Also as long as it's not against the TOS. In this scenario, you'll have to talk to the seller about it first hand. You'll need to tell them that your intentions are to sell the software or the bot, and you'll also make sure that you have the proper rights for doing so. You might need to provide evidence or proof of your rights, so you'll have to make sure that you possess these before you start selling this product.

Best Regards,

If you hire a programmer through a site like freelancer.com, they will have to sign an NDA and an agreement that you have FULL ownership and rights to sell the software. That is proof.

I have seen many people selling what they made it for themselves. Many invoicing apps and other finance related products were designed with personal need in demand. And then it was sold to other people. I think it's not always possible to have such type of setup. But if you can see the point there I think some software can be easily sold if you know clients who have similar needs. That's what I think.
