    Setting up websites to profit in the future.

    Now we all know that you can set up a website and be in competition with hundreds, possibly thousands, of other websites in the world for all the search engine traffic there is up for grabs. But why do people always try to set up a website and make money right away? Probably because they're chasing the online riches dream where they can make a huge passive income online.

    Something a lot of people don't do is set up websites in order to profit 6 months to a year down the road. People don't really do this because it takes a huge time investment and there's not promise that it will work out in the end. People want instant results and don't want to set something up for the long game.

    Well, I'm going to go over how you can set something up for the long run and pull all the traffic from Google, Yahoo! and Bing Setting up websites to profit in the future.

    You'll need to pick something that comes out at a later date like a movie, video game or product. I like to do video games because I know much more about them than a normal person lol Setting up websites to profit in the future. So I'll be using video games as my example ;)

    I'll pick a game and figure out what my domain name should be. I'll base the domain name off of the game but I won't pick something identical because I don't want to fall into the copyright infringement hassle.

    Next I'll go set up a hosting plan for my new website and choose the usual dedicated IP address. This is so that I can get a better SEO affect, even though it's small, it will help Setting up websites to profit in the future.

    After I pay for my hosting and wait for it to be set up, I'll go over to themeforest and purchase a gaming review theme and upload it to my hosting account and customize everything to show the game of my choice once the hosting is ready.

    So now I have my domain, hosting and website set up and I'm ready to go.

    I'll begin writing up loads of content for my website and I'll make sure everything is optimized. You can use the YOAST plugin to do all of this right from the wordpress dashboard when you add a new post, it's pretty simple. I like to add as much content to my new website as possible, at least 100 pages a week.

    You can even go out and hire an article writer who knows about gaming and have them write content for your website and upload it themselves. They would basically be a virtual assistant who posts optimized content on your website for you Setting up websites to profit in the future.

    After a couple months you should have an enormous amount of content on your website and since there's not much competition right now, you'll see some traffic coming in. There won't be a ridiculous amount of traffic coming in because your game doesn't come out for a while.

    Now you'll need to go out and do a press release, build high PR and DA links, do some tier linking to boost those links, post where you can (without spamming) on social media platforms, and anything else you can think of. You'll basically be doing a huge online reputation building campaign, search engine optimzation campaign and search engine marketing campaign all at the same time. You'll need to keep this up until the game is launched and by that time you'll be getting a flood of traffic, probably tens of thousands of people per day if done right, all to your website and reading your content. Since you have a ridiculous amount of content dedicated to the game on your website already, they will bookmark you or simply remember your domain name because it's similar to the game they love so much ;)

    This is a ton of work, but it can definitely pay off in the long run Setting up websites to profit in the future.

    I always wondered how does one profit from a website? It cant be ads sinds I had a website with roughly 1000-10000 unique visitors each week and the Ads income was about 0.01 a month. I always wondered.

    That sounds a bit off. If I were getting 1k to 10k uniques a week I've be pulling in at least $5,000 a week Setting up websites to profit in the future.

    LIke Mike said, maybe it was your ad placement?

    What kind of traffic were you getting? You can purchase traffic from freelancers but that doesn't usually convert very well since it's not the greatest. I actually don't think I've had any of those types of traffic packages convert into a sale lol.

    1k to 10k unqiues per week gets you $5000 a week? Can you let us know how? I have been getting around 3k to 5k uniques a month and only been getting around $30 per month. This is with Adsense and I use header spots but the income seems like low in my opinion.

    Sell them something, don't send them to a website that sells them something ;)

    And I should edit that. I already get 1k+ per week and don't make 5k per week lol. So closer to 10k uniques a week would be 5k profit Setting up websites to profit in the future.

    I think this is a brilliant idea and I have often thought that I would love to get myself going with something like this.I am all for putting in work now to profit in the future and I believe that this will pay off much more in the long run than chasing after those shiny objects because I want immediate gratification.

    I love the idea of building something up now that will explode with traffic one day! I know for a lot of people they wouldn't be keen to work on something like and waiting so long.

    I do have a question though.. 100 pages in a week? If you work a 5 day week then that is 20 pages a day! How long will the content on these pages need to be and for how many weeks (x100) do you keep adding new content? If you mean adding 100 pages a week for 6 months... well damn that is a lot of content and it is a lot of pages!

    You have to stay ahead of the competition Setting up websites to profit in the future.

    I said it takes a lot of time and dedication to play with the big guys like IGN, so pushing yourself is one of the only ways to be on top and pull in loads of traffic.

    This actually sounds like something I am doing now. I'm creating an old style PHP text based game to profit in the future. Right now, I have about 5 active players on the game, and so far I have made only $8 from sales of packages that you can buy to boost your account. I was previously told not to attempt it as it's a dead niche, and style of gaming. Basically, all the gamers moved to 3D games, or other games that are not based from web pages. However, I am noticing an increase in people playing text based games. I think they are playing for nostalgia purposes or perhaps their computer can not run the 4K graphics? Either way, it's a risky future investment one that I am willing to risk.

    100 pages? Isn't that a bit too much? Because if you talk on 100 pages about the same video game you will lose ranks because of the keyword cannibalization effect. The days where a lot of content on multiple pages worked fine is long gone, now you have to have big complete content on one single page.

    On the other hand, I like you general idea, always wanted to start something like this myself, but the fact that I'll had to wait until the blog/website started to earn me money put me down on the whole idea.

    Right now I'm playing Destiny on PS4 and if I were to of done this method when the game was in it's infant programming steps, I could have raked in a good amount of money.

    I wouldn't just talk about the game itself. I could talk about the following:
    guns
    maps
    PvP
    PvE
    Enemies
    NPCs
    Social Spaces
    Loot
    Loot levels
    etc.

I want to sell these websites so that I can make good money without bothering about the revenue generated through advertising. Normally, I don't buy themes for my website and I use free theme. However, I bought a premium theme for one of my websites. I wanted to have a professional design for my website so that it will agttract buyers. Usually, I write my own contents, however, I hired a professional writer to develop contents on one of my websites. I invested good money in theme and contents because my intention is profit making. These websites are running since two years, therefore, I renewed the domains and hosting.

    Thanks for sharing this as usual what I really learnt from building a blog is that one should not expect to make so much at least the first year of starting a blog but build it with the mindset of gaining immensely in the future and you'll be able to pull through without dumping the ideas half way.

    I agree that it’s a ton of work to do because it’s hard work when you try to get traffic from Google, Yahoo and other search engines. But on the brighter side of your suggestion, if you happen to hit it right with those search engines then you will be having passive income that you never dreamed of. But for small time freelancers like me, maybe I will have to suffice myself with the personal marketing campaigns in the social media for my website. At least that is free and easy.
