I just launched my new website , but I haven’t choose yet the right place to host it. I have some names in my mind but I would like to hear your suggestion first.
Hosting package must have
Storage 10-20 GB SSD
1-3 Websites per account
I want something with affordable price, at least $60 per year...
Ah! And so the plot thickens! For your simple (but professional) portfolio site Pro, and for at least $60 per year ($5 per month) you can find some very adequate and reliable hosting plans! Hell, I'll give you hosting on my plan if you want Pro, I have a reseller account with StableHost and can give you unlimited bw, dtb, email, SSD storage, Cpanel, Softaculous and all that for a few bucks a month. Saying that though, I don't like to really tell people about my host.. I prefer to keep them all to myself when it comes to my hosting as I don't trust anyone and don't want anyone to jinx it in anyway LOL Jokes, seriously though, I need to step up my affiliate campaign for them actually in appreciation but as you know I've had my fair share of bad experiences with hosts in the past which looking back tbh, I'm grateful for now because I managed to find that diamond in the rough with my host now. I don't mean to gush but maybe they might be perfect for you. I know they are for me.
But each to their own means and wishes you know. I know they're not the cheapest and might be out of your budget but it depends on what you need them for and if you need all the services right away or at any time in the future. That and the support. It's all about the support. I mean I don't care how technically skilled you are, even the most advanced domainers and webmasters for even the most fully self managed hosting plans still need support from time to time. It's people that keep things ticking not computers. Not yet anyway!
One other thing, you can try the Google Cloud Platform for free for 60 days using the Google Cloud Platform. I don't know what they're prices are after though I think you pay per usage or something. Could be good for some big sites I guess or even smaller ones?
Are you sure you want to delete this post?
Thanks for your suggestion Mike, i appreciate that. And nice to hear that you own a reseller hosting account. Yeah, Google Cloud Platform is good and they offer to pay only for what you use, but personally i prefer fixed prices because i don't want to get any surprise in my bills
I'm thinking to go with namecheap hosting since all my domains are registered there, and i like to manage all of them in one place.
I've always been a fan of t35hosting.com
I've been with them for around 10 years and I've never really had a problem. They just revamped the entire back end and now it's much quicker than before
Their pricing is a little higher than other places, but I don't mind paying them because all my websites run smooth and most of the time if I submit a support ticket it is answered within a few hours and it's the CEO answering me lol.
HostGator is a good one as well, pretty cheap but you'll just get a random support person every time you need to ask a question.
I also use NameCheap for a few of my websites and I haven't had any problems. One of my websites runs pretty slow but that's because it's on a shared hosting plan and the site I have on there is pretty beefy. I should probably change the hosting of that website lol.
Definitely do not go with GoDaddy for hosting. They suck Their domain registration is ok, but their hosting is god awful. I have a friend who runs a very successful company and he uses GoDaddy for his website. He bought almost everything GoDaddy had to offer and never switched his hosting after the years of me telling him they were garbage lol. We recently did he website design and he came to me bitching about how we messed up his hosting account and his website was down. No, his hosting account probably had 500 other websites on it and that's why it was down lmao
I wasn't aware of t35hosting, but man.. their prices are really higher Support is one of the most important thing, and that's cool to see CEO answering on support, what could be better, definitely you are his favourite client
I've tried godaddy as domain registrar , i had some domains registered there and to be honest they are good and i like them, but i've never tried their hosting service because i can't afford their prices, i have only 10 domains so far
Also tell your friend to go with Dedicated Servers, and make it 1000 lol
What type of website would you be hosting? I would offer my opinions, however I'm not exactly sure what the website will entail.
Thanks for your reply! For the moment it's just a portofolio website, and it's still unfinished completely, maybe i'll use for some projects with my softwares.
Well we all know HostGator would probably suffice, or you can even go another route. I use hostname.club for my hosting. They are located in Vietnam, and actually offer good hosting plans and they're fairly cheap. I think I pay $3 per month.
Here are the hosting stats:
4GB Disk space
10 Addon Domains
I don't believe they offer unlimited bandwidth though, however I have never exceeded the maximum bandwidth, and don't even come close.
They have plans starting at $1.50 per month as well if you want to try them out. I've been with them for a couple of years now, and I really like them. One thing though, the admin team speaks bad english, but they are always willing to assist if you have any issues.
Thank you for your suggestion, yeah i know about HostGator, not sure if they are offering same prices, but i'll need to check. Also i've never heard about that hostname.club, but it seems cheap hosting.
Thanks for everyone adding their opinion here. I'll be honest I really don't know much about hosting. I have one website hosted through my sister. I have no idea who it is with LOL.
My other 2 websites are hosted free because I am a member of Wealthy Affiliate... not sure who they do their hosting through either.
Haha, nice Lynne! I guess you've never faced problems with that hosting company, since you don't know their name
Hi procoder thanks asking question about hosting company. Before suggesting you about hosting company name, I should suggest to you, please look some importance factors. For example: I always prefer highest support system from hosting company. I prefer everything unlimited service in package. And bandwidth should be unlimited either you will suffer for bandwidth limit exceed. And unlimited disk space also good for specially blog site. Beside, server upgrading option has to provide by hosting company. And multiple addon domain. And finally I should say price and budget also importance and you have to check hosting Signup vs renewal Cost.
I prefer arvixe.com and godaddy.com.

Thanks for your reply and suggestion Aj! I'll take a look over arvixe, because i've never heard of it.
I am using Scala Hosting’s cloud servers at the moment and they are very good. The support is great and they normally reply to support tickets within 10-15 minutes. The uptime has been very good; however, they cloud servers are a little bit costly. Their shared hosting plan seems to meet your needs. They offer 10GB of disk space and unlimited bandwidth for $2.95 a month which seems to meet your requirements. They also offer monitoring services to monitor your servers but I don’t think that is available for shared hosting plans. Site Ground is also very good and offers 10GB of disk space with unlimited bandwidth for $3.95. Out of the two Site Ground probably has a better reputation but both seems to have very good servers.
Thanks for your reply MasterA! I'll keep in my mind those two sites because it seems good sites.
