Hey Pro, did you see my post the other day on How to do brand name research and build your brand on other sites? In that I spoke about this site namechk.com and some other sites just like it and explained how to use them and the reasons why you should. These sites are my first go-to place when I'm building social media profiles and high authority backlinks to my site. But more than that, I want to snap up my keywords or brand name as the usernames on those sites BEFORE my competitors and rivals do!
What I like about Namechk.com is that the ones available are listed in green and the ones taken are listed in red. Where as Knowem.com just tells you if it's available or not. Anyway check out that thread as it has some more sites like this you might find useful for these reasons! Especially when it comes to brand name building. You don't want your competitors to have the keywords you're targeting or your brand name as the username on the next big social media site so that's why these sites were made to help you in that way before they do!

Hey procoder thanks for sharing this great info. This is really awesome tool to use. Real time saver too because we don't have to jump from site to site to check what's available I never knew about this so far

Oh..i've been using this site for a long time, and i thought to make a post about it , because it's something very useful for anyone.
Hi procoder thanks for your nice information. I never think such way to get existing user name. I just check individually when I am going to register and if system said it already exist by someone and I try to make alternative. You putted excellent information and I should use further, if I need.

That's really cool, thanks for sharing procoder. I checked it out and it seems that my username is not as popular as the vast majority of the sites gave me a green light. It is a good idea to keep this site in mind before you choose a username, especially if it is something quite important where you would prefer to be as original and as unique as possible. The username is after all as important as our birth name almost, so come to think of it, we should place importance on the selection.
That is awesome, thanks for sharing. I just use my name for most profiles but I might find this very useful in the future.
Thanks for sharing this information that may be useful to me somehow. What if I find on a site that my username was already being used? Take note that my username is quite unique because it was coined from my real first name and surname. I don’t think it is a coincidence that someone had just thought of using my username. It would be more of intentional and that is why I am asking what to do.
