    How many members are surfers?

    Just wondering how many surfers. There is a lot of coastline around the world and most of the population lives relatively close to an ocean. If you do surf add a picture of your local surf spot. Even if you don't surf send a picture of your local beach.

    I always loved to watch good surfers on big waves but never really wanted to do it my self. Since i am not leaving on the sea side i am actually going to try rafting, which is more popular in my country and i guess its very exciting too, to raft down the fast mountain river which we have plenty around here in Bosnia How many members are surfers?

    White water rafting is a lot of fun! Even floating down a lazy river on an inner tube is relaxing.

    I literally live on the beach... but it is a bay so we don't have waves which is fine with me, it suits me as a mom with a 2 year old and a 4 year old that can't swim. It is so much safer How many members are surfers? So it is not a surfing beach, not by a long shot.

    However I grew up in Noordhoek (Cape Town, South Africa) which is well known as being an amazing surf spot.... however I am terrified of being in the open water. I am scared of drowning and terrified of sharks. There have been a number of shark attacks in the area I grrew up (Noordhoek, Kommetjie, Muizenburg, Fish Hoek beaches). One woman swimming was completely eaten at Fish Hoek beach and loads of surfers have lost limbs. Not for me!

    Cape Town & Port Elizabeth South Africa is another place that I would love to visit and surf. There is a surf spot called Jefferies Bay near Port Elizabeth I would like to surf. I too don't like sharks especially the big ones you have in the waters of South Africa.

    That's a nice picture of surfing and it's really nice to see those that have oceans where they can surf. We don't have such oceans in our place.
