Whenever my tummy is burning, I use an anti-acid tablet. Though I don't like the chalky taste. What is your best acid tummy remedy?
I have read that milk is a good thing to use as it coats the stomach. Maybe try this.

Pepto bismol is very soothing to the tummy. I like the taste of that for some reason. Have you ever tried the liquid stuff?
I have also read that if you take probiotics daily, you will not get acid reflux. I am not sure how true this is though.
Yes Ella I have heard that probiotics really do work. I take them and rarely get heartburn anymore either.
For long term solution and increasing your digestive power, you can practice meditation. Good for your mind and also for your overall health.
It happens to me usually when I eat Fast food
My mom always give me cold milk and Its the best remedy worked out for me for burning tummy . Also cold milk makes me sleepy too so its good to drink cold milk when your stomach is burning and also take a nap so when you get up you will be fresh and feeling much energetic as milk is very nutritious in many ways.
Hi, Yzabel, the best remedy for acid tummy, is to avoid certain foods or soda. If that is impossible for you, you can try to take every morning 2 grams of sodium bicarbonate, and sometimes this helps even after you eat and have acid in your stomach. This is a natural remedy, and I know it works because I took it in the past!
Hope you will feel better Yzabel!
Exactly, acid on your stomach can reach a pH of 1, which is something that literally burns your esophagus and upper structures. So milk is not a good option, it will may feel good at the beginning but later on it will get acid too. What is the thing that neutralizes acid? Basic things, so get some Baking soda or any drink that contains bicarbonate, like Sprite. Of course, that is a home made medicine for night stomach issues, but I recommend you to visit your physician, he will help you keep it under control with proper medicines.
My husband has that problem since he was in his 30s. His acidic stomach used to scare him such that one doctor had prescribed him tranquilizers. Now he seemed to have master the issue of his tummy. Food is his pacifier of the acid. Whenever he would feel that the acid is brewing inside, he would eat a snack, bread or anything that can satiate his hunger. Where before he didn't drink soda, now it doesn't matter what he drinks as long as his stomach has something in it. He always has a pack of cookies whenever he would leave the house, that's for his pacifier to the acid.
I really get this influx when i'm in my third trimester.I take alot of milk and crackers biscuit and I feel better.
I will have to advise that you take bitter kola, if that is available in your country, as it is a good source of nutrients that help to keep the stomach in good condition.
