Under Windows I use Notepad. Under Linux I use Gedit, though I will probably be transitioning away from Gedit in favor of Pluma in the future.

I am using Notepad Plus Plus and the Visual Studio Code. And for me coding use, the visual studio code seems to be working just fine. As you can see it has everything that you want with the text editing. And also you can run the terminal commands. And it would be easier to use for most of the languages out there. And for things to properly manage it'd not reasonable for the coding at all either. So notepad and the visual studio code those two editors things can be good enough as well. So I think for Windows users these two options are good.
