Internet Explorer loads without my permission

Lately, Internet Explorer program has been starting up without my permission. I don't use that browser as it lags my computer and slows everything down. However, sometimes it will randomly come up to the start page. Maybe there is a program causing the browser to load, such as for updates. Maybe this is happening to someone else.

Hum I have not had this happen to me yet. It is really odd that it would be doing that to you. Does anyone else use your computer that could have switched something that you are not aware of?

That could be a real possibility as I'm' not the only one who uses my computer. Though I believe some program is trying to update itself, so it keeps sending me online. So far, it's only loading to the MSN homepage (for Internet Explorer). Still, it's a very worrisome situation.

Microsoft might be trying to download updates. If you have scanned your computer and come up with no viruses, you might try to figure out what triggers this event. What program or software were you using just before all this happened? Knowing that might give you a clue as to what's going on.

Some programs such as Skype will access Internet Explorer to get updates. That could be one reason your browser is going online when you don't want it to.

But Skype should not be loading if you don't have the program open. If you start Skype, then it will try to update.

I think the mysterious loading browser has more to do with Microsoft software updates. You should check into that.
