What browser you use?

Web Browser is a software used to receive, watch and send the traffic worldwide. It is used to browse and explore the whole internet.

What browser are you using and why? Do you think that browsers are one big spyware and vulnerability provider? Or perhaps its features are? I personally use Firefox and TOR with noscript and usually cookies disabled. I was always Chrome fan-boy but recently moved to Mozilla and I'm satisfied with it.

If you have any questions, about browser related security, please post here and I'll try to answer as soon as possible. I'll soon be posting a tutorial on how to secure your browser, and significantly decrease chance of getting infected.

Here's a graph I found of browser usage in 2015

Chrome is best and fast.

Would that be the only reason you are using chrome? Or is it because you were using it the most and it fits you the best?

I really don't like Chrome, sorry.
I prefer Internet Explorer or Firefox. I find them easier to deal with, without trying to figure out too much, and the menu/tool bars rock!

I love Firefox too! And, I was just having this conversation with my sweetheart yesterday about how Chrome is always a laggy browser. At least that's true for our computer(s) (any we've ever used). Though at some point I was using a Chrome clone called Rockmelt and really loved it. Though I don't think they make that browser anymore. I have Comodo Dragon (another Chrome clone) and that is more lightweight than Chrome but still it freezes constantly and allows scripts to run. For me, Firefox is just the best reliable browser, a real workhorse. I don't know how secure it is to use for browsing but I know that it rarely freezes like my Chrome. So I can always get my work done.

I would say that Chrome is the fastest, but I'm currently on Mozilla. I have some weird theory that the Chrome might be a big spyware, idk. Be careful with Internet Explorer, it's highly vulnerable. I would suggest to either disable the ActiveX or enable the filtering. Same applies to java, run only when you have to.

It used to be Internet Explorer before Chrome came to town. But my reason for shifting to Chrome is not the popularity of Chrome but the problem with the pop ups in IE. It seems that IE couldn’t block the pop up ads. It was annoying so I shifted to Chrome. But Chrome has some issues that it couldn’t access some sites so we have a secondary browser in Firefox.
