    How much tabs are you running on average?

    Many people get shocked about my number of tabs working at the same time, but it seems normal to me. How much tabs are you running on average? How much tabs are you running on average?

    Wow! That's too many! How much RAM do you have to keep them running just fine?

    Wow! That's too many! How much RAM do you have to keep them running just fine?
    I usually just have at least 3-5 tabs open.


    My average is 60-70 tabs above as stated and in Chrome they seem to run like 50mb-150mb each so it adds pretty damn fast. Laptop has 16GB so not so bad regardless.

    Right now, 17 tabs, most of those gamer related. I'm doing research on a quest and usually have multiple sites open about the subject. If I'm doing article research, i'm usually more focused, going only to one site at a time, seeing what i need from that page, copying to a note pad (along with link to where i found it) and then back to Google to find more relevant resources.

    The most I have is 10 tabs. But only for a short period, like an hour before I close them.

    I do not need 70 and 80 tabs at a time I just open max to max 20 tabs at a time

    Running so many tabs would seriously slow down your browser, maybe incapacitating it. Even having multiple windows with multiple tabs can cause lagginess in your browser. It's always good to have the minimum number of tabs open that you can and shut the rest down once you are done using them.

    Running so many tabs would seriously slow down your browser, maybe incapacitating it. Even having multiple windows with multiple tabs can cause lagginess in your browser. It's always good to have the minimum number of tabs open that you can and shut the rest down once you are done using them.


    Yes, sometimes just 2 or 3 tabs also make a browser to lag because of the heavy content on one of the website opened in a tab so it is advisable to only open necessary tabs at a time and close them when not needed to maintain good speed of browsers working

    It confuses me when I have too many tabs open. Kinda like, "which one do I need to open/read".

    Interesting topic, I usually have 20-40 tabs... mostly graphic/design blogs, social sites, affiliate sites, payment process sites, cPanel (usually 10 different tabs with creating templates), etc.

    This computer is like 7 years old, wal-mart brand - cheap. Usually I disable windows UI, unneeded browser plugins/addons, remove unused programs from computer, block ads with host file, etc - seems to help a bit. Sometimes the browser crashes.. I usually group my tabs for different sites I'm using, or bookmark them to keep organized.. For instance right now i'm running 36 tabs xD o_O

    Less than ten tabs on this browser, though I'm running two browsers now. Though I can't remember why. The other one was just open when I sat down at my computer, so it's possible a family member was using my computer before. I will leave it open just in case they want to come back later to work on something.
