    The live links you get after reaching level 2 don't provide any real SEO value because they are tagged NoFollow. Some seem to find find the direct traffic from links worthwhile, but source links to pages unrelated to the question can get you deleted.

    yes i am agree with you seomax7, yahoo answers is amazing for targeted traffic and you should always spend some time answering queries related to your niche so you can drop in that source URL and get the traffic..

    Yahoo Answers can be useful in improving search engine ranking but its not going to make a significant difference on a non performing site...

    Yahoo Answers is great precisely because it can provide a strong source of targeted traffic that is not based on SEO... Depending on the niche and other tactics, many receive as much, or more traffic to their sites from Yahoo Answer than from search engine traffic...

    YaHoo Answers are cracking down hard on links. I haven't been able to complete an order for this particular listing in a while. They've increased there moderators and they are heavily watching for anything that smells of spam. Be careful. My account hasn't been banned or anything like that, but they are watching for this sort of thing quite hard.

    Now a days its important to have diversity in backlink profile , so both dofollow and nofollow links are important. Moreover yahoo answers is one of the authority website.

    Google used to index Yahoo answers very quick but not anymore. Lot's of people spamming Yahoo answers therefore Google only shows answers from past years which didn't delete by Yahoo community.
    Yahoo answers doesn't have big SEO effects but it is always good place to create traffic source for your site by helping the community at there. If your answers selected best answers, it also gives good traffic in the future.

    Well some people actually read yahoo answers and click on the links you offer, so if your answer is helpful and not spammy then it will get you traffic. I'm not sure about the nofollow part though, I just checked and there's an answer indexed from June 2015.

    Yep... That's what sites do when spam is difficult to control, which means you wouldn't be able to get a backlink there, HOWEVER for those who just need another place for a link and you can get it to remain, then that's awesome. The search engines will like it because it's natural traffic.

    Placing link in Yahoo answers has become extremely difficult, but there are some good sellers here who can still do it.

    Posting a link on good site even If link is do-follow or no-follow help your site. You will get a real visitor and visitor means it will improve your site ranking in search engine.

    Yahoo Answer remove most of useless or self promoting links.

    It is not easy to get inside Yahoo Answers but once you get a post it will be a good backlink because the site is an authority which means traffic going to that site is huge that the chances of your backlink being clicked by the users is high. But you need patience and perseverance to post on Yahoo Answers and you also need to be creative and informed of the subject matter that you choose.
