    Getting spam comments on a Facebook page

    Most of my Facebook fans post really high quality comments. But on occasion, I get some spam comments. I try to keep these deleted off the page regularly but they are annoying to deal with. How can I encourage high quality comments and discourage others from spamming with their links.

    Just stay active on your Facebook page so a potential spammer knows their spam comment will get quickly deleted. That will discourage spam comments.

    Hire an admin for your Facebook page who can babysit the page all day and doesn't mind deleting spam as it comes up. It's also useful if this person responds back to anyone who comments. That way the potential spammers will know the page is manned and won't try to leave any links.

    My husband has a Facebook Page for their school. In fact, that page was used for connecting to the alumni of the school for their reunion last December which was a big success. However, lately they have noticed some followers who are posting business ads for their own purposes. Some posts are religious. The admin has been issuing warnings from time to time but the irrelevant posts keep coming once in a while.
