    Thank you very much for the beautiful question. You said a right talk. FB groups are a big area to generate traffic for your website. By creating an important topics based group and by publish the website link will ultimately generate huge traffic for your website.

    I would have to advise that you open a Facebook page since you're looking at opening it to promote your products. That's the only way you can keep up with events happening on the page.

    A Facebook Page is a good marketing tool because you can use it like a store display where you can place the details of your business, be it products or services. But the Facebook group can be a more effective way for marketing if you are able to gather the people who are interested in your niche. Just take note that a Facebook group is similar to a forum where everyone can post about the niche. That means you don’t have a monopoly of the posts.

    A Facebook Group right now are more effective than a Facebook Page simply because you can interact with your members freely and you can add members, even members can add other members too. If done right you can have 20000 members in weeks and if you target members of a particular niche which you are targeting and be creative on it then the success rate of your campaign would be astonishing.

    Facebook group is a better way to interact with the people that gets in the group and that is going to enable you feel their pains as well as understand the best way that you are going to make your products/services better in the long run. I've got some friends that used the Facebook group to achieve that type of goal in the past which made me believe that such goal is possible at the end.
